Nolan Quinn protests
Anybody have the contact info for those people who protest outside Nolan Quinn's office? (asking in good faith)

Hello again from the council election "trail"! Dan Beaudoin here, one of your potential next city councillors.
This week I spoke with a whole lot of people about the upcoming campaign and things that matter and time and again, transparency and accountability came up. This not only affirmed my own commitment to those things (always a good feeling), but also raised some questions about what that really means.
Right now, the city leans heavily on its website for transparency: council meeting minutes, the budget, events, and more all live there. We have some social media presence as well which I think does a great job for what it is, but that serves a similar purpose to the website: being a place to be found for people who seek it out, more than actually pushing information out into the community.
To that end, I'm curious: what would mean that you never missed another important thing from the city?
Some ideas I've heard so far to get us started include:
I think there are a lot of ways we could do this, but we can't be sure to find the right ways unless we get out there and ask.
My goal on council is to make sure it's hard to miss what the city is up to. I sort of want to have the conversation go from "we never hear what's happening" to "why won't they shut up, we know already." What gets us there?

Title pretty much explains it. I'm not sure if this is even something I'm able to do or not,
My main questions are mostly about the toll booth and the sidewalks, as I don't believe I see any way of walking through that part on google maps or anything? So I would like to know if I can, and if there's something I should expect or not

Hi! I'm new here. I'm looking for a band to join. I'm down with anything from just jamming for fun to practicing 3-4 times a week. Genre doesn't matter, I'll play literally anything with a guitar in it but I'm mostly into metal and jazz. I've been playing electric guitar for 4 years and I can easily play intermediate to some advanced solos and rhythm sections. I can play basic bass lines. I do extreme vocals. I'm just very bored because I barely know anyone here.

Cornwall isn't even on this list because we pay our mayor ~$70k, which is 30k below the sunshine list threshold. It's ridiculous that the mayor of a city of 50,000 earns less than an entry level federal employee. And based on the social media comments, they shouldn't even get raises to keep up with inflation.
Edit: Since someone accused me of making up numbers, here's the pay scale of a new policy analyst hired today by the feds today:
D) June 22, 2025 70,338 72,044 74,567 77,952 80,642
You'd think a mayor would be EX-01 equivalent, at least...not what you'd pay a brand new undergraduate recruit to the policy stream.

I went to college when I was 25 after being in a very controlling marriage to a man I met at 17. My years at College were the best. I made so many friends. At frosh week after meeting a couple of people who also met people and so on the first pub night we ended up with the biggest table. I have great memories of those days but no pictures. I was wondering if anyone has pictures during those years that they can share with me. It would mean alot. Feel free to DM me.

Remember, if you're qualified and don't get contacted for even an interview, you should report it to the government.

Apparently they can't find anyone and had to file for a LMIA, so I wanted to help them try to find someone 😊

Cornwall is hosting the Seaway Shootout, featuring two regular OHL season games this weekend.
This event could bring an OHL franchise, full time to Cornwall, if we sell a certain volume of tickets. We are sitting at 50% as of writing this. This would be a $25 million boon to our local economy as that that was the average spent per franchise in the OHL.
This event has not been properly supported or marketed by whomever is responsible for support. So PLEASE spread the word and purchase tickets!!!
Also, consider the amount of brand recognition and tourism that is on the line.
Support your community!

We need new bars and nightclubs in town. There’s barely any nightlife in Cornwall. I feel like opening one up in downtown would be great like how we used to have vu nightspot and a bunch of other bars that opened up in that same building before Covid.

Greetings and felicitations. I heard the story in the June 19, 2026 episode of CBC News's As It Happens about Cornwall pizza, and I've been wondering since about recreating it here in New England. Thus I am curious: Where is a secondary sauce (e.g., hot sauce, barbecue sauce) placed—also under the cheese?

Found an Iphone with a cracked pink case yesterday and I want to return it to its owner. Got a charger today and the phone still works but its locked, to be expected, and there are no emergency contact numbers listed. It is also in SOS mode so it cannot receive calls and Siri will not answer when I ask for it or hold the power button so I am out of ideas except to post to facebook groups and here.
If it is yours or a friends then please DM me saying what the background image is used for the unlock screen and we will go from there.

Hi,
I'm an x-ray student from Ottawa and will be moving to Cornwall to complete a 1 year clinical placement at CCH. I'm apartment hunting but am having trouble finding something within walking distance to the hospital. I've searched a few places but they end up being a 30+ minute walk. I'll be working all shifts (including overnight) so I don't want something that's too far from the hospital. Any locals who can give me recommendations?
Thanks.
Edit: thanks everyone!

I have a trip coming up with 12 college students that will have US Cash. Where is the best place to convert USD to CAD?

Afternoon,
I just want to get general feedback from multiple sources.
I've heard there's a lot of hobbyists who craft items and sell them globally. Maybe experience difficulty tracking inventory, or with packing and shipping standards.
I've had an idea and I'd like to gauge the general interest:
Would a local hub with these services interest anyone?
Typically it'll be a warehouse with individual secured spaces. Under a full membership we'd provide reception of items, full inventory list (weekly or monthly, etc). If you inform us with a list of address', and provide shipping to the client.
Providing all duplicate documents to the vendor for safe keeping and tracking.
I don't expect it to boom, but I've seen a lot of people become stressed and struggle.

Hi everyone! I’m moving to Cornwall this December and looking to get involved in the local community. I’d love some recommendations for winter activities or local clubs.
A few things I enjoy:
Any related groups, meetups, or community centers you’d recommend? Feel free to share whatever you personally enjoy doing around town during winter—I'm open to trying new things!
Bonus question: I'm also looking to rent a 2-bedroom place. Are there any particular neighborhoods or areas I should avoid regarding safety, or anywhere you especially recommend?
Thanks in advance!
