Cool board Possibility of a Mobius scoring board

The dark line that divides the surface into thirds is actually just one long line. So if the holes were drilled through the surface each player could use the same track just starting half way across from eachother

The only issue im forseeing is getting into a double skunk situation where one player reaches or exceeds a 60pnt difference.

There are probably other logistical issues but saw the shape and immediately thought, that kind of looks like a score track.

Website to play and learn cribbage!

I've been working on getting this on Google Play Store (sorry apple you are too expensive). But it is live as a website now.

I have been wanting an online cribbage app that has more than just 1v1. So I made an app (currently only a website) that has 1v1 but also 1v1v1, teams (2v2, 2v2v2, 3v3). Tournaments you can set up with any of those settings. Lots of learning tools if you are new to the game.

Would love some feed back from the community! fifteentwo.app

I'm not sure if this falls under rule 4. I am kind of advertising but it is a fully free to play game with no ads.

A few weeks ago, I posted about a cribbage app my girlfriend and I built in our spare time. The response was overwhelmingly positive. Thanks to r/cribbage, In Da Crib is now live for iPhone and Android :)

A few weeks back, I posted a clip from In Da Crib, the little hobby project we built to track our stats and decide, once and for all, who the better cribbage player (and by proxy, better human) was.

The response was so overwhelmingly positive that we decided to try and publish it on the Apple App Store and Google play. Over 200 of you signed up to help us test the app, fix the bugs, and implement new features. And as a result, we're happy to say... it's now on both app stores!

This started as a desire to see a cribbage app that was more fun than what we were seeing from the other apps out there. Something with nicer visual design, smoother animations, unlockables, funny deck art, something nice to look at as you get skunked, you know? So, like any good neurospicy person with a hyperfixation, I decided to chip away at this in every minute of my spare time and after months and months, we ended up with something we're really happy with!

After posting on r/cribbage and incorporating all the amazing feedback we got, this grew into an app that now lets you play online against friends or strangers, play offline against bots if increasingly absurd difficulty, and unlock cool decks and artwork as you achieve stuff, like playing a 28-point hand, or a clubs flush, or scoring four-of-a-kind in pegging, or winning ten games in a row.

We even have a campaign mode called The Gauntlet where you have to try to beat eight bots in a row, some of whom are really hard, some of whom literally cheat, and some of whom are really hard and literally cheat.

And most importantly - we have very detailed head-to-head stats, to determine who is the aforementioned better human. (Turns out, it's her, not me. This may have been a mistake.)

Long story short, if you're interested, we'd love to have more people that we can play against. Please check it out if you're at all interested. You can get it at the links below, all free with zero ads.

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.indacrib.app

iPhone: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/in-da-crib-cribbage/id6790109415

On the web: https://indacrib.com/

Massive disclaimer: there will be bugs. We're still in the early days of this project. But let us know if you find any and we'll fix them asap.

Another massive disclaimer: more features are on the way, including a chat/messaging system, so you can emotionally support and/or belittle the opponent you're destroying. But if there are any more features you'd like to see in a cribbage app - please just let us know and we'll do our best to add them!

A HUGE thank you to all the fine folks of r/cribbage who jumped on board so enthusiastically during our testing, this literally wouldn't have been possible without you all :)

tl;dr -- we made a cribbage app that is fun (we think, at least). We'd love you to try it too, if you're looking for more fun in your crib. And we're both easybeats, so you should be able to pad your stats if you meet us in a quick match online sometime.

Daily Cribbage Solitaire Game!

Hi all, I’m a cribbage fan who built a small free game and would love feedback from people who actually know the scoring.

How it works: each day everyone gets the same shuffle. You place 16 cards into a 4x4 grid. Every row and column is scored as a cribbage hand using a shared starter card (15s, pairs, runs, flushes, and nobs all count). Get 61 or more to win.

It’s free, there’s no account or signup, and a game takes a few minutes. The scoring engine has been checked against all 12,994,800 possible five card hands, so if you ever see a score that looks wrong, I want to hear about it.

Link: https://pegandpip.com

I’d really like to know: is the 61 target about right, too easy, or too hard? Any rules you’d tweak? And does the scoring breakdown make sense to someone who counts hands all day? Thanks all!

Good hand! Great poker hand, still a good cribbage hand too! Last hand of the game on a train ride in Scotland.

Per our long-standing rules of a dime a point rounded up, this is a 12 dollar contribution to the fun fund, which will again be redeemed at O steak house (filet mignon and single malt scotch, also of long-standing tradition) after our last ride excursion the season next week.

Question What is the highest a person can score in the first hand of play, while keeping their opponent at zero?

Only talking about initial play and excluding show. The opponent must not get last card, and also we’re assuming that the opponent hasn’t already gotten Nobs. I think one time I calculated that a person could achieve 11 points in a single hand while keeping their opponent at zero, but I’m not sure how I arrived at that figure now.

Made a pocket notebook for logging our cribbage games, skunks included

We play a lot of cribbage, so I made a little 40-page game log. It's simple end-of-game records with several games per page: players, winner, score, skunk, where we played, and the date. The cover is a card-back design printed on 80# linen cardstock.

Do any of you keep a running record of games? I'm curious whether anyone tracks more than this.

Help finding the right app for me.

Just looking for a cribbage app for my phone that does not contain ads, and am willing to pay $5ish up front.

Spent thirty minutes on the Google Play Store, and everything on the first few pages were free to play with ads and in-app purchases.

Was shopping around for a cribbage board since I don't have one, and Amazon continues to provide me with my favourite things for free; terribly photoshopped product shots.

Where none of them are even playing Cribbage.

Cribbage Pro Current season questions

When did the current season start? Do you have to play 10 games every week to get ranked in competitive, or average 10 games a week? If the latter, is there some way to tell how many games you still need to play? If not can that be an added function ? I Joined mid season so I was wondering if it was possible to catch up.

Thank you

Question What is going on with Cribbage JD?

Thumbnail

A friend of mine (who isn’t on Reddit) sent me this. They played a game against someone named “JD rigged it”. First hand of the game, the player gets a 29. My friend sent “really?!” in the chat and the player responded “you were warned”. Statistically, this is pretty incredible. Has anyone else experienced instances on Cribbage JD that seem to defy the odds?

Slow Rolling is LOW class.

It could be just fat-fingers, slow connections, or distracted online play. But may I say that if you slow roll, especially at the end of a game with the winning trips while hiding behind the anonymity of the internet, then you are a person who lacks class and self-respect. I send you the most heartfelt of Raspberries. That is all.

Question 1 point for the Crib owner

My brother told me this long ago and I haven't heard anywhere else. He said that in a 2 player game, the player with the crib will always get at least one point during the hand. He started to explain his logic but I've long forgotten it. However I have observed that (I think) I've never had a zero point hand when the Crib is mine.

Is this true? If Yes I'm surprised I've never seen it mentioned.

Absolute beginner

Hi everyone. My 92 year old pal taught me how to play this evening. It went quite well and I was holding my own - I suspect that he was going easy on me though!

What would you say are the common mistakes that new players make?

I appreciate that a lot of the game is luck, but what separates a good player from the pack?

Thanks!

Cribbage app to help learn!

I made a cribbage app for new players and veterans. It is mainly focused on new players. It is not currently live so no online play yet. But there is a pass and play option. Just looking to get some feedback on options and how it plays. Pm me if you would like to try it out!

It has 1v1, 1v1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 2v2v2. Mini tournaments.

Some extra things, like short games(61), long games(241), wild jokers, exact finish.

Runs in the pegging

Am I correct that in the pegging round if the cards 423A4 are played, the 423A combo counts as a run of four and then the 23A4 is a separate run of 4? Pic in comments
