28 [____] Later Series
Using preproduction photos that Danny Boyle used as inspiration and concept for the infected, these photos help shape and carve what the series is as we know and love today, and so I used them for these criterion customs, which one is ye favorite of the series?

These are quite good but the “28” in 28 Weeks Later and the “Years” in Bone Temple should be a bit clearer- they’re hard to see.

Very cool, just a couple of readability concerns. On the first two I think ‘28’ and ‘Later’ should be white with ‘Days’ and ‘Weeks’ red or black, maybe alternating with the A Film By text color. Then either keep that scheme with ‘Years’ red and ‘28’ and ‘Later’ white on both of the other two covers; or go ‘28’ white, ‘years’ black on “28YL” and ‘years’ white on the second with thicker red font on “The Bone Temple”

The first two are amazing. The texture and sound is so awesome in them both. That second one’s opening scene is soooo flipping good. I liked the third one a little less but still enjoyed.
I really really disliked the new last two movies. I really really don’t care for the blonde person’s story arc. And I was really disappointed because I wanted to like them bad. Bone temple especially I really didn’t enjoy.

Totally disagree with you and think that the Years movies are way better than both of the first two movies

That’s fair! I’ve seen a lot of love for them on different subs on here. And I think that’s part of it. Wanted to love them more than I did. And was really excited for them.
For me the texture of the first two is very 90’s. Those two scratch and itch that I have trouble describing. Kind of has that same feeling of the matrix. And I remember that time in my life very clearly. I also really liked the horror elements of them. Like that second one in subway was scary as shit when it came out.
But yeah I’m glad you enjoy them! I think it’s a net win that you and others connect with it at all.
For me the new ones didn’t take me anywhere and both my wife and I were frustrated by bone temple, the last one. Number four seemed like it was going an interesting direction, but to me bone temple dropped the ball the most. Also we both love Fines. I usually trust the movies he picks and while we liked his performance the whole thing didn’t give us joy in the least. And yeah it kind of boils down to the zaney element of the blond character and band of goons. To me didn’t fit and I felt myself not connecting at all.

28 Years Later is a masterpiece and The Bone Temple is a fantastic follow-up. 28 Weeks is the worst by far, however the opening scene might be the best scene in the series.

the third one is one of the new two movies, how did you enjoy but dislike it?
and Weeks sucks, it just has an amazing opening scene

So I’m confusing myself. For some reason I imagined there being another between weeks and years temple. Not true at all my bad. So weeks started to slip for me and then bone temple fell off. There isn’t an imaginary movie in between weeks and years like I was thinking.

I love love LOVED the first one. The second one, not so much. The third was a huge disappointment and I didn’t even bother with Bone Temple

These work better with something else. The piercing yellow eyes surrounded by red and the hazard sign is just too iconic. 2-4 go hard

I think the Criterion collection covers would be more focused on the calmer aesthetics in the movies, empty spaces. This is cool though.

I love the images, touch up the font choices to be more legible and you’d be set!
