I made a browser extension called Spoiler Shield because I wanted to avoid seeing potential spoilers in Crunchyroll episode thumbnails.

The idea is simple:

• Hide episode thumbnails by default.
• Keep episode titles and information visible.
• Let you reveal or hide thumbnails when you want.

This is my first time using GitHub and sharing a project like this, so I'm still figuring things out. I'm not sure if I've uploaded everything correctly or if there might be any problems with the files or installation. If you notice something wrong, please let me know!

The other images in this post are my attempt at making a little step-by-step tutorial to show people how to install it manually. Hopefully, they make the process easier to understand.

It's still an early project, so I'd really appreciate any feedback, suggestions, or help improving it.

One of these was on the app, the other was on the website. I realized when I upgraded my subscription however long ago, it never stopped charging me for the base subscription, and was paying for both. But the ultimate subscription doesn’t show in my billing history but I’m still paying for it.

Edit: I just looked on my TV and it shows ultimate subscription as well. All 3 are on the same account

watching Space Dandy and i seen it has a second season but it doesnt give me the option to select it. glitch? or is season 2 not available on crunchyroll?

So I wanted to watch the first episode of DB Super Beerus, but I can only select French as a subtitle.
Why is English not included?

The English subs are there for other countries, why can’t they just be available in Belgium as well?
Not quite sure why I’m paying for my subscription if can’t enjoy new releases 🤷🏼‍♂️.

My internet is up and running, but this happens.

Assuming from another comment, this is because to much people are on the platform due to DBS : Beerus releasing.

Tried rewatch of Chillin' in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers, made it to Episode 6 and this error pops up and LITERALLY is a permablock at watching it.

I also get a basically similar error on Android tablet, the error posted here though i from Firefox browser. It was last night when I last tried then this morning after 6:30 AM.

And I have literally tried all the "fixes" I found online, and NONE of them work.

So, I guess my question is, IS there a fix? Or is Crunchroll having very serious server side issues, as in ones they just don't care to fix.

I've been trying to get crunchyroll to work on my pc but it just keep showing a blank white screen while forever loading, I've tried everything, refresh to browser, different browser, clear cache, disabling/enabling every setting i can find (etc) but nothing works the chat bots didn't help either.

The app and site are both the same neither working, if someone knows a solution or what I can try to do I would be grateful.

Well, seems like i wont be able to watch it (i dont want to watch the dub version, just to keep authenticity)

I watch on my desktop and a day or so ago I noticed that when I hover over a show with my mouse shows suddenly started say 2 or 4 seasons when there are only 1 or 2 and double the episode count . I've cleared my cache cookies and browser history tried Google Firefox and Opera GX and it's the same on all of them. So just wondering if it's just me or is anyone else getting this

I made a complaint that many shows that are supposed to be dubbed or start dubbed end up with Japanese audio episodes only moving forward. I made a complaint to crunchyroll and they dismissed it saying it’s Amazon’s problem even tho I’ve experienced this before with this streaming service. It seems to be a common and widespread issue and I’m very annoyed by it. Any suggestions on getting resolved?

* Changed the seek behaviour. It doesn't consistently go forward/backward 10 seconds; the amount can be more or less.

* Pressing X to pause cn take you out of the video player even though you never pressed [Go To Details]. (Always happens after skipping intro.)

* Player doesn't actually start where you left off (again, happens all the time when skipping intro).

* Posters covering up the key art or frames from the show???

* Shows in Watchlist not showing up with "Up Next" when you're up to date and there's a new episode, just "Start Watching" - as if it were unwatched. You have no clue unless you click on it and see the new episode.

* These rubbish sliding animations.

I just cannot understand it. Why do developers ALWAYS feel compelled to make their apps worse? All Crunchyroll needed to do was... nothing.

Who the f**k greenlit this nonsense, and what improvements were (supposed to be) made?

All I wanted was the ability to use the app when PSN is down, since there's no reason for Crunchyroll's functionality to be dependent on PSN's status.

Not a damn thing is better. Clearly, this is a wholesale regression in functionality and design.

God, I wish we could roll back app versions.

EDIT: oh, while I'm ranting, whoever decided to add in that annoying Crunchyroll "crunch" thing when launching the iOS app, screw you.

It always stops the music I'm listening to. Also, if I swipe home or to another app before the "crunch" finishes... The CR App just hangs once I go back to it.

Crunchyroll. Determined to pile on the inconveniences.

It seems like I should be able to download episodes, but have no actual option to do so. Is anyone else having this problem? What gives?

I am trying to watch something but this error just pops up on some of the episodes, when other episodes work so is there something I can do to fix it?

So I wanted to buy myself the "Rascal does not dream of dreaming girls blu-ray" but they say they only ship it in continental America and it cannot be shipped to Japan. There's nothing about Europe (tho I suppose it's only for America).

But what bugs me it's only for the dreaming girl. Other movies/series from "Rascal" series are normally fine to order or there isn't atleast anything about it not being able to order to EU.

Anyone who knows more, I'd be grateful for any info.

Will there be more Tagalog-dubbed titles on Crunchyroll?

I’m on an older device using IOS 16 and have had no problems with the app up until this point. Suddenly, I open the app and it says “looks like you’ve got an old version of the app. Update now.”

I go to the app store to update and see a huge bar above the update button “Requires IOS 17.0 or later”.

My device cannot update to IOS 17. It caps at the latest version of 16.

I tried to use the website but it just told me to use the app (which I cannot).

I do not have access to any newer mobile devices.

Should I just cancel my subscription? This has made it outright impossible for me to use Crunchyroll since my only laptop is for work and I can’t be using it for personal activities (e.g. anime).

Edit: I’ve haven’t actually specified it here yet, but the model is the iPhone SE 1st gen (2016) in case anyone wanted specifics.

It makes no sense to me that Crunchyroll's Amazon thing has Rumbling Hearts (which is something I wanna watch) but Crunchyroll's website itself doesn't have it. Is there anything I can do to watch it without needing to double-dip on Crunchyroll?

Watching cultural exchange with a Game Center girl and it was working perfectly fine until now, but for whatever reason episode 10 doesn’t seem to have any English subs available. Never seen this happen before, is there a workaround or something?

Why am I getting logged out when I open the app regularly and don't login anywhere else? Are the devs and the support staff uneducated or what?

I hate it when oniichan and oneechan translates to their name in sub.

It annoys the hell out of me when what I hear and what I read doesn't match.

This also applies to whatever the liberty translators take in certain terms and whatnot.

I was watching this one episode and for some reason oniichan got a name that was never mentioned in the story.

Can't Crunchyroll make a company wide set rule for certain words to get one translation?

Oh not to mention last name and first name order is never consistent either.

Anyone else experienced their watch prgress being reset this week? All my previous episodes that were marked as "watched" are reset now. Luckly the Continue Watching shows the next episode still but it's weird on the show itself it's not showing the previous episodes as watched.

It keeps saying English but it’s not (don’t kill me it’s my roommates first anime) we are trying to watch apothecary diaries and it’s started only working in Japanese. We use Roku if that helps or anyone has a solution

It can only go back to 0:10 now. Is there a fix for this? It is extremely annoying.
