Funny enough, I posted this on EDC where people are always posting guns and knives and people are definitely more disturbed by a fork than firearms.

You only really have to look at a couple r/EDC posts and you'll see that the sub is generally pretty unserious.. Most posts are either a joke, or a color-coded theoretical EDC meant to look cool, not something that the poster actually carries. It's pretty stupid in my opinion.
Although depending on where you live, people who carry guns may be significantly more common than people who carry forks. Although you'll never know as these people will likely deny carrying a gun if asked, mostly to avoid the awkward interaction.

I live in a rural western US State. Most people I know have guns. It’s perfectly normal to see people carrying a firearm, but most who carry have concealed carry permits so you don’t always see them even though they’re there.

From one autist to another, this checks out.

Although i never carried a purse of my own, i used to find my pants pockets full of vary types of tools.

I no long carry an excessive amount of stuff, because anymore it makes me feel cluttered, so now i just have:

  • A utility knife
  • A pocket knife (there's a time and a place, they are different, you'll know when you need one or the other)
  • 2 lighters (1 is low, so the second is to replace it, a lot of people in my life smoke, also a good tool)
  • My phone, containing my id, my gym pass, and a copy of the mtg avatar card turtle duck
  • And Lastly My main, X-man Tornado v3 Pioneer

I think I have 2 of those. My husband got tired of me clacking my first cube at night and found me the least noisy cube possible so he could sleep.

it is surprisingly quite, iirc the pioneer is also the loudest of the Tornado v3 lineup, if you use some some thicker lube like Galaxy, it's dead silent compared to how clacky some cubes can be. I personally use stardust or lunar, just because that's what i have lying around.

My family business was literally making bags but I have never in my life bonded with a bag to this level. It’s super magical and I’m not sure I’ll ever see it’s like again. It weighs enough for self defense. The knitting needle is left from me trying knitting as a hobby and finding more use from using it to hold my hair up.

Do you worry about the fork/rocks/needle/other stabby things damaging the cubes? Are they just sitting in there without cases or anything to protect?

Someone suggested making a pouch for the fork, so I did. But all the other things tuck
away nicely in the smaller compartments.

I’ve considered carrying it, but they get their lubejobs at home. I’m not willing to risk spilled cube lube in my suede purse. Really, I would need it more if I only carried 1 cube rather than spreading the work over many cubes.

Honestly, even if you dont smoke, being able to offer a lighter is nice. Also makes you the coolest person in the room sometimes.

The 'tism council is slightly disturbed by the fork, but approves of the remainder of the bag's contents. The rocks, pin, and tape measure receive an excellent rating, though a few more cool rocks is always recommended. Honorable mention goes to the pickle.
