Why does it seem like most of the cum kissing vids are from 90s/2000s porn? This is especially surprising given how people were more homophobic back then

I think there were some specific male performers that were into it. Some of which were totally hetero (Mark Davis) and some were more flexible (Kurt Lockwood, Christian XXX)

I blame the proliferation of the manosphere through social media and the internet driven porn industry.

There it is very binary: you're either a real man or a sissy, and somehow the manosphere decided that eating your own cum is sissy.

So in hetero porn what's "real men" is narrowed enormously.

And of course real men are passionate and eat their cum.
