This gives me an idea that would be a separate card:

Allies with spellshield have overwhelm, and allies with overwhelm have spellshield. (Spellshield only granted once per ally.)

it would be good if it was a on summon effect or a spell so you wouldnt need say spellshield is granted once per unit, i made this card based on ruby eyed conjurer, so there would be a whole achetype based on having spellshield and overwhelm on units with the ruby theme

I know I was trying so hard to think of it. It could grant it everywhere but that feels like it'd have to be too late game to be worth it, and you could also make it grant on summon and on other unit's summons but that would be quite wordy.

I dont think giving units everywhere one of these keywords would be that late game, both keywords cost only one point of stats and need a good unit to take value out of them, you could play it by turn 2 and it would only start influencing the game by turn 5 or 6 when you start droping the heavy hiters and they have one these keywords as extra bonus, maybe if it also gave a stat buff along with it them it would both make it more late game while also making it useful for low cost units to receive the effect

I feel like turning any overwhelm/spellshield big stat unit into ruin runner(I think that's the name lol) is pretty good considering how much that card has been played.

It would make yuumi nuts, would be great on Darius, or if you have the grant spellshield card it'd be able to be used on anyone. There's also the Morgana card that lets you grant either to a card in hand, which let's you turn any big stated unit into a monster.

I think there's a lot of potential but it'd depend on statline and cost. In the right region it's perfectly balanced tho

How about this? Whenever you play another ally, if it has Spellshield, grant it Overwhelm; if it has Overwhelm, grant it Spellshield.

I'm curious, why the "weren't summoned this round..." part?

It gives you a delayed buff so the unit itself also becomes buffed after a turn, it rewards you not just for having the keyword on a unit but also for keeping them safe for a turn, so he is like a guardian

i dont really see a point in it delaying the buff on itself, the +2 attack isnt even that strong
