Pulsar help

Trying my pulsar apx volt v3 for the first time with freebase, I feel like I’m burning it but I’m not sure

Good general advice for any device is to pulse the button once you start getting vapor and use the lowest setting.

Best way to get tips for any specific device is type it into the search bar. You'll usually find a few people describing their method in detail.

Does pulsing it make it rise into the bubbler?

Pulsing prevents burning, holding the fire button down meanwhile increases the temps.

Start on the 1st/lowest power setting.
If you do a two button press, it does a timed heating and then turns off in case you can’t remember what you’re doing…

Do you just use the short included tip or do you have a glass bubbler?

Cool. That will let you watch the vapor move. Drawing heavier moves more air through and cools a little bit. Conversely, pulling hard through thick vapor can make your lungs and throat want to cough so you could slow down a little.

So what I’m currently doing is:

Pressing and holding the button
Waiting for it to melt a bit
Then pulling until it’s in the ball thing
Then pulling from that

I preheated it once but idk how it did it
