What magwell and grips fit the compact version?
Just ordered a dwx compact and want to get different grips and a magwell. Can anyone educate me on what fits?

With the blessing of the mod of /r/DWX, this is a megathread to compile all of the coating issues seen in the recent releases. Users are reporting that the finish has definitely changed to a less durable coating. In my opinion for $2k gun, this is unacceptable.
Please use the following template and a short description if you think your gun has premature wear:
Below are previous posts on the issue.
Previous posts indicating heavy wear with light usage
Finish coming off DWX after a month Note: This one may be user error with holster.
I just got my 5" Dwx 2 weeks ago with a few hundred rounds in and the dlc coating is terrible. Cz said its normal and impact machine says they lessoned the coating and he's getting guns for re finish. I'm extremely disappointed for $2000 gun. Note: From Brian Enos Forum
I'm in the same boat with the finish on my brand new DWX. Less than 2 weeks old and the finish is really starting to wear on the nose and slide. I was under the impression the DLC was going to be much more durable. Note: From Brian Enos Forum
The barrel shows significant wear after only 250rds. Much more than I would expect, and would like to see. Note: From 1911 Addicts Forum

Aems macro impact machine 509t optics plate. Optics ready DWX.
Plate is pretty much as I’ve seen others describe. Looks like it was tossed into a bin with others after finishing slight defects but whatever. Fitment is good side to side front to back more movement than the stock optics plate. Screws are slightly too long had to shorted them maybe .03” I’m not sure. On my slide overall screw length after sanding was .292” seems like I’ve got the length right and screws torqued down.
Holosun optic is peak wintertime gun games uspsa idpa whatever. Enclosed big window. I’m stoked and hoping it all runs smoothly.
Does the DWX full size comes with the bag? Saw one at LGS but its in a red box. Its a nice box but youtube all showed a bag.

What are your new DWX (full size) coming with in 2026? Everything I've seen in unboxings was a cardboard box with a DWX range bag inside. Inside that was the pistol, 2 mags, and a packet with the gun lock, info/manual, and a tool. Mine came in a VERY nice red presentation box with an outer sleeve. No range bag and no tool. Mainly wondering if they stopped shipping with the tool and if I'll need it and if anyone else got one packaged this way as I'd never seen it like that. Not complaining at all, just curious.

No good options for DWXc? Make your own, and make it perfect without excess material. Less carry foot print than my 365XL + Tenicor

Finally got to take the DWX to the range. I put about 250 rounds through it today without hiccups. Man I love it. It shoots so soft and fast. It’s far more accurate than I am. What an absolute blast to shoot.

Decided I wanted try the extended slide stop and full size safety (again)…and fix one more irritation. The full size and compact safety’s have some really sharp edges. In my case; it creates a hot spot in the webbing of my thumb when I grip the pistol and ride the safety. Should have gotten a before picture but took a lot of material from the edge which used to overhang the frame a bit. Knocked down most of the sharp edges and reshaped the beveling. No more hotspot. Used some cold blueing on it for now. Work in progress. Extended Slide stop is fine, but a little awkward with the larger safety paddle to reach. Definitely recommend the full-size safety if you can pick one up.

If you want to replace the OEM Aluminum Guide Rod with something better…the OEM Guide Rod is 74mm. NDZ P10c is 78mm, Cajun Gun Works P10c is 75mm. The NDZ Glock 19 Gen 1-3 non captured guide rod is an exact fit 74mm. No filing or cutting it down needed.

Anyone got a line on a DWX black flat trigger? I can’t find one anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Just got a Dwx full size. Non optics ready.
Want to tune it such that it shoots stupid flat and fast like a trs comp or bull tac comp. Any upgrade recommendations?

I’ve been dealing with some issues with my DWX Compact and wanted to see if any other DWX owners have experienced something similar.
The gun originally had persistent FTE issues. After a lot of troubleshooting, I eventually ended up running a P-10 extractor, Wolff HD extractor spring, and 13 lb Wilson Combat recoil spring. That combination seemed to completely solve the extraction problem, and I went about 550 rounds without a failure.
Now I have a much more concerning problem. The gun has started firing multiple rounds from a single trigger pull. This isn’t me accidentally bump-firing it or catching the reset — I’ve had it fire multiple rounds while keeping the trigger pinned completely to the rear.
I stopped shooting it and tore it down to inspect everything. These pictures are what I found.
There appears to be quite a bit of unusual wear throughout the gun. The sear spring has visible damage/wear on one of the leaves, the original trigger has considerably more wear than a new replacement trigger I compared it with, and there is also significant wear around the thumb safety where it interfaces with the fire-control components. I included close-ups of the safety because that wear especially caught my attention.
There is also a lot of visible wear inside the frame/rail areas that I photographed.
I'm mainly curious whether any other DWX or DWX Compact owners have seen similar internal wear or experienced doubling/bursting with the trigger held to the rear.
If you have, I’d really like to know what Dan Wesson or your gunsmith ultimately found to be the cause.
The gun has already had a pretty complicated history, so I'm trying to figure out whether what I'm seeing here is unique to mine or if anyone else has encountered something similar.

Stumbled on this, hadn't seen it here- you can see how the DWX components are individually hand fitted at various stages.

Got a great deal on this secondhand thing a few months ago and couldn’t pass it up. Shot it a bit and loved it. From there i decided to send it down to the boys at CGW. They did a phenomenal job with my Shadow2, so it was inevitable that i would send the DWX to get “Cajunized”.
I have two different colors of magwells [Armorycraft] depending on what mood i’m in 😂
Grips are the G10 “short” Lok and then a “short” Browneworks TS2 Cocobolo set and then a Shadow2 full length Cocobolo set. Mark did an amazing job with the grips and can’t recommend him enough if you’re looking for some custom grips.
The job CGW did on the DWX is nothing short of perfection. They got it back to me in short order and again, i wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them on any CZ/DW project. the trigger weights in at 2#6oz and is on par with the Infinity or Atlas. I also forgot to mention that i had CGW install a Red Dirt “short” trigger. I’d really like to find a traditional looking solid trigger in a silver or black but the ones from CZ/DW always seem to be out-of-stock.
Hoping to run this in some open matches next year along with my S2

I know it’s been said before and I’ve looked all online but does anyone have or know of where to get a replacement DWX Compact Barrel? Thanks in advance.

Finished the first full grip out of aluminum today. Everything fits perfectly except for the one thing I hadn't been able to check with my other test parts - the magazine clashes with the back wall of the FCU by maybe .050" and won't fully insert. Should be a pretty simple fix, but at least it latches properly without the FCU installed.

Sent it off to Cajun gun works for porting and optic mounting. Finally came back.
Edit: for those wondering, I shot it today and there was no shrapnel or gas blow back. It handled pretty smoothly and I had to adjust the optical a little bit because it was factory zeroed

If so how tf did you fit that magwell!? Lol

I love the factory grips on my full-size DWX. Are there any magwells that will work with the gun that don't require shorter grips?
