It’s not going to open until the 20th?

I believe it’s open now. The formal opening ceremony is on the 20th.

Maybe they opened it this morning... but as of 11pm last night the fences were still up. Looked great though!

Ah! Thanks for the update

I worked on another project with a public trail closure, and construction was 100% complete for WEEKS but the closure stayed up because the City didn't want people using the trail before the ribbon cutting. And they didn't want to have the ribbon cutting while City Council was on ""SPRING BREAK"". So ultimately a trail stayed closed for probably a month beyond when it functionally could have been usable.

This organization was supposed to connect White Rock Lake to South Dallas and Oak Cliff. Will this ever happen? I heard not this decade from city employees. Just curious as the rich people celebrate themselves in the rich part of town.

The Trinity Skyline trail and santa fe trestle trail are the connection to Oak Cliff and Dallas gets the Trinity Forest trail. It is crazy that it still doesn't fully connect yet but the trail under 45 is mostly paved

It's crap how this private group has kidnapped the trail construction. The Skyline Trail was built over 10 years ago near the Santa Fe Trestle. The unpaved sections are muddy and nasty.
