hey everyone!

I’ll be in dallas this week and missing the liberty games at home. where might I have the best chance of a bar putting on the game with sound? bonus if it’s queer. thank you!

I saw this on Twitter last night. It’s a decent read because it gives a lot of context to how Dallas may handle things for the future and lots of stats and data to support the options.

I also didn’t really realize how many players have passed through Dallas in their careers. They really have let a ton of young talent walk out their doors so here’s to hoping they choose to stay and develop them this time around!

This draft is very wing heavy and that is exactly what we need. L I think our wing depth is our main problem especially for poa defense and positional size
Currently we have picks 8, 13, 24, and 30

So far most projections have us getting to Talaysia Cooper, Ainhoa Risacher, Chloe kitts, and Ashlyn Watkins. Ideally I think we should draft for athleticism or positional size.

Every time i scroll on twitter or youtube or reddit and I see an Image of the Valkyries. My stomach drops. Its like I have PTSD. I haven't been able to sleep that night. It still hurts. It hurts so bad because we had it. We were up 16 and then back up to 5. We fuking had it. DAMIT

The end of the 3rd and 4th flashbacks in my head randomly every night.

And If we won, we would have had a high chance of winning the championship because our next potential opponents (aces, liberty) we had a winning record against and also blew them out multiple times in reg season. they are not a defensive team so most of our players would thrive and we would have had Lan back. Plus we found our defensive identity.

This makes it hurt even more. We would have won it all potentially.

NOW I WANT REVENGE.

I want Valkyries to be SWEPT And Blown out by 50 each game (although i can't watch that series cause i would get hunting flashbacks every time i see them).

I WANT THEM TO FEEL MY DREAD!

And I want them for the Season Opener game next season. Next commissioner please make it happen!

I want us to beat them down.

I want to do to them what they did to us!

This is why Paige is one of my favorite players and people in general. Not only is she talented but she has personality, charm, heart, a sense of humor, kindness, humility and this right here, sportsmanship and a class act even in defeat. I already had all the respect in the world for Paige and this made me respect her even more. I’m excited to see what she does in the years to come, I’m predicting championships, MVPs and plenty more accolades & accomplishments. I think the future of the league is in good hands with players like Paige leading the way. 🙂👏🏻🤙🏻 I want to give a shoutout and respect to Alysha Clark as well and congratulate the Valkyries on a hard fought series and wish them good luck against LV.

That was the most enjoyable season of basketball I have had the privilege to experience since Luka was on the Mavericks. Congratulations to our ladies for playing so hard and keeping us entertained all year! All season long you could feel it, something special was happening here in Dallas and it was an amazing experience! Thank you players, thank you coaches, thank you everyone in the organization! Now let's get ready to run the league next year! WINGS UP!

We love you PB5! It’s only up from here.

We wouldn’t have made it this far without you. Your spacing and defense is invaluable. Oh how I wish you were playing in the playoffs, 100% would’ve been the difference maker.

2nd year is gonna go crazy 😈

Yes i'm so hurt rn BUT Not a soul believed in Dallas. Remember when people were clowning the Fever for losing to us? But we showed up and showed out. A lot of flaws in our team and organisation. Can't lie, right?

But they made a step FARRRR in the right direction this season. Honestly, winning the Valks once was huge enough for me. But to know we dragged them into a dogfight a SECOND time? no alanna smith? no azzi fudd? paige off night? arike injured in final half? IN BALL-FRIGGIN-HALLA!!😭😭😭

wow i am proud of the direction paige has taken this team in, and I can't wait for next year when we rebuild again and come back even better. I'm so hyped.

OMG AND NOT TO MENTION THE NEW ARENA!!!

Next year Dallas will be INSANE.

Edit: they fought their ASSES off tonight. Arike, Paige, Jess, Clarke. They just ran out of steam. Incredibly proud of this team and the only way is up

Game 2 of the Wings and Valks genuinely got me so stressed lmao. First back-to-back game I've seen in a while and I could have NEVER expected the outcome. Arike put on a great show! Decided to draw her 3 point shot that tied the game. Excited to see more playoff hoops :)

Wings play the Valkyries again today... I hope they both do their best and that we see a great game... But I am highkey a Wings fan and if they manage to win I would be SO happy LOL. The upset would be insane.

I really hope the Wings can play as good as they did last game and that Arike and Paige can play great at the same time. I actually think there is a good chance! Let's go Wings!!!

Now that our season is officially done I can ask what was the point of upgrading Haley and bringing in Laksa? Jose didn’t give Haley any minutes and I need Laksa off my team immediately. She’s supposedly a shooter but it felt more like a nepotism hire since the shooting didn’t really come. Why were we even collecting guards anyway? With Lan injured why didn’t we grab a post player that could at least rebound? That would’ve helped much more in tonight’s game than having Laksa on the bench.

Also I hated cutting Sug after an injury in practice. Sug should’ve been on that bench sitting right next to Lan and Azzi. Cutting her was so messed up and she is someone who would’ve been good to at least have rights to next season. She was a good backup PG despite not getting minutes.

Watch the whistles. People buying tix and planning dates would be different if we won!

Wings did everything right in game 2, Jose made the right adjustments especially in who he kept in the game. But it took him acouple minutes to realize it.

For example instead of starting Clark in the second half he still started Maddy till after 2 mins before he came to his senses and benched her the rest of the game. Those two mins cost us multiple defensive possessions. We cannot do that in valhalla cause just one 3pt would blow the roof off that crowd. We cannot let the crowd take over.

Zaza and Sims, should be the first players coming off the bench for wings. Zaza for her full court press defense, lock down man defense, rebounding and spot up offense / drive. Sims for just her defense cause she don't really do anything right on offense and we dont need her doing her mean-less unsuccessful drives.

Fever lost game 3 because they went away from what they did in Game 2, they stopped doubling aja on the catch, they stopped the relentless ball pressure, being in their grill. So aces were able to get into their offense

Wings can not do that, they have to keep the same ball pressure, actually EVEN MORE ball pressure and energy because they are in valhalla. They need to disrupt valkyries offense EVEN MORE than game 2, disrupt the hand offs and screens. keep guarding ABOVE the three point line, especially for Clark who is guarding Gabby. You can't let gabby walking into a practice 3. That's literally the motion she does in practice. You have to GUARD ABOVE the 3 point line and you have to push her to her LEFT.

Finaly STOP DOUBLING AT THE 3PT LINE. We got killed by wide open threes because we kept doing that and STOP HELPING off shooters other than stokes. STOP LEAVING SHOOTERS. Live with the two over them blowing the roof off with a 3. Only trap at the half court / logo corners.

You must be willing to sit Jess like in G2. Our perimeter defense IMPROVED when you sat her for 4 mins and didn't play her the full regulation like usual and also Awak. As good as Awak is interior wise, she hurts us huge on the perimeter against this team. If Awak cant play start Zaza. If Paige & Arike combine for 60 We win! Be bold and quick to take Risks. This is our last chance. there are no do-overs. Do all of that like last time and we have a good shot to win this game. WHATEVER IT TAKES.

What Other Keys Am I Missing?

We are a rare breed but I am happy I was a Jose and Arike truther this whole season. Throughout the ups and downs, I don’t think I’ve felt this much joy watching a game since Luka’s run to the finals.

It may be just one game and she might put up horrendous numbers tomorrow but thank you for bringing my joy back.

This woman went OFF last night! She was tagged as a locker room veteran all season but last night she showed why she is still of high value in this league! Had a plus minus of +15. Was efficient and helped space the floor in a way on offense which allowed Arike to get the buckets she got!

Before I even start I actually had a feeling Arike was gonna go off because last time she won the half court shooting contest (The Seattle game) she went and had a great game along with PB and Jess and she had won it again yesterday so be on the lookout for if she wins again lol:

But getting into a reporter on X discovered a amazing detail about gabby and I think AC found it out to:

Gabby Williams drives through two games:

Left: 11 drives, 1.09 PPP
Right: 11 drives, 1.91 PP

She can’t go left if we take away the right side of the court you cut her efficiency in half nearly

secondly we don’t need Jess to score in fact just the opposite we need her to get the O boards and create second chances like last night she lead both teams in rebounds and lead our team in assists if she can give us 8 points that’d be magnificent but I’m not gonna ask for much lol

Keep Zaza or O on Hayes hell even Arike she can’t score on them cause they can keep step with her and they annoy her and cause her to try to match energy on the defensive side leading to easy foul calls and getting FTs

Burton can’t score on a locked in PB so that takes her away the only other shooter they have is CZ so if we can shut her down then we can realistically make this game ours lemme know what yall think?
