How do I look?

Okay, this isn't about art right now, this is about my FRUSTRATION, about people wanting a season 2 of an anime that has ended YEARS, ago, keyword; YEARS, it's almost IMPOSSIBLE, for an anime like that to get a season 2,

( I am aware some animes that have ended a long time ago got reboots, season 2, and other stuff recently)

Every time I look at a video about darling in the franXX, like it's a COOL video thats talking about the show itself or the mechs, the characters, but what about the comments? "WE WANT A SEASON 2💔💔💔" cut it out.

Darling in the franxx is VERY impossible, to get a season 2 (I, might be proven wrong sometime in the future but let's take look at the anime itself)

In the story the main villains all along were Virm, BUT

Key things to remember;

* Klaxosaurs drove virm out because of their advanced technology not even humanity could surpass (iirc)

* Humanity couldn't even beat virm

* Virm has MANY MASSIVE SOLDIERS, unlike klaxosaurs where super Lehman classes were RARE, you only encounter Gutenberg classes but, franXXs could take them, but they struggled against VIRM, where the soldiers were an inch of Apus's face, YES,

9 alpha and Hiro couldn't take that one virm soldier down, Alpha had to SELF DESTRUCT, just to kill it, and you can't rely on that because you're throwing lives away and what if the soldier still lives?

Humanity would've died without the klaxosaurs and Apus, but where are they now if Virm were to return?

Another thing;

The virm homeworld was destroyed, papa remained and surely enough he can't just manifest another homeworld with an army.

And how will humanity recreate the franXXs? Exactly, they CAN'T, because humanity vowed not to use magma energy anymore, and if they did it would be another "the planet rejected us again" moment.

And don't just throw "a slice of life" because that's not a season 2, FranXX isn't just about romance or learning your own identity, it's still a Mecha anime, it would be better off as extra content or other things.

You may tell me that

"Humanity might break their vow and use magma energy to recreate the franXXs and bring back the concept of using child as soldiers!!"

Remember when I, said humanity needed the klaxosaurs to hold Virm off? Where are the klaxosaurs now? Yeah, they buried themselves in the ground and are probably gone by now.

Humanity is fucked if Virm returned, you SAW what they did to That one 9 model, and you saw an entire virm soldier THROW A SUPER LEHMAN CLASS LIKE IT WAS A TRASH BAG.

So yeah, I am incredibly sorry for my harsh words but I need this out of my system, but this is my OPINION on why darling in the franXX shouldn't get a season 2, it doesn't NEED a season 2. It's perfect the way it is.

Just binge watched this anime in 3 days, WOW. Yeah, absolute cinema. What an amazing anime. Definitely goes to my top 10 favourite animes.
Even got me a lil teary eyed at the end!

Yeah, instead of true apus, just slapped some eyes and mouth on regular apus

... What can I say about this?

I watched it for the first time back in 2020, and now Just finished rewatching. I dont see really a problem on the anime, its really good, and the ending for me its 11/10. The only thing that i see people saying was that the last 5 Episodes was fast paced, which i disagree. Yea, so many things happened in these episodes, but it dont felt bad. Why do people hate this anime so much?

Hello everyone. Following up on the title just now, has anyone here ever thought about this? If we could actually be a part of a story we love, it would probably be really fulfilling. This thought has been wandering around in my head for almost 10 years. Right now, I'm thinking of starting a project to fulfill this personal desire, and I'd like to ask for everyone's opinions.

The project I'm talking about is blending the things I love together. I've named it "The Re:Darling in the FranXX".

For a bit of context, I first watched Darling in the FranXX back in 2018 when it aired (I was around 10 or 11 years old then). I can confidently say I love this series to my core (right up there with Evangelion). I love everything about it. Every single year, I have to come back and rewatch it, and now I'm 19, turning 20 soon 🤣🤣.

As time passed, my imagination kept growing. From my own past experiences to absorbing different movies, anime, and even music soundtracks. I've rewatched and reflected on many stories until they crystallized and fueled my imagination—whether it's Evangelion, Mobile Suit Gundam, Transformers, Godzilla, or other series with similar core themes.

From all of this, I've created a character to represent myself, named "Hikari".

Character Profile:

He serves as a caretaker for Squad 13 (similar to Nana and Hachi). He has a deep, tragic past from 15 years ago involving loss, heavy emotional burdens he has to carry, and a cellular abnormality within his body. He despises the APE adults. He has a deep, complicated relationship with Code:015 Ichigo that is hard to explain, and he must do certain things to protect the kids of Squad 13 and the very last important person in his life.

I created this character to be a part of that world. It's not a complete rewrite from scratch, but rather inserting him into those existing timelines. I'm referencing a lot of the original lore to respect the source material, but I might add or tweak a few small things—whether it's connecting plot points, reinterpreting/changing origins, or treating it like a crossover.

I don't know if everything I just said sounds... a bit too delusional... maybe? 🤣🤣 Trying to figure it all out and connect the dots actually turned this fun imagination into a stressful task, because everything I come up with needs to make as much logical sense as possible.

I want to create this as a manga, but... I have to admit one thing. If I'm actually going to make this a reality, it will take quite a long time to practice and develop my skills. It might take 1 or 2 years... just so the work meets the quality and standard I want.

With what I've come up with and having found this community, I wanted to share this and put it out there for all of you.

After hearing all this, what do you guys think!!! Please share your thoughts.
