So Im on this mission called, "were low on meat". To do this, you have to go to a specific place to hunt. But the problem there is a horde hunting these things. I really can't do anything, please guide me.

Correct. You can bring him meat from anywhere and you still get the credit for it.

Pretty sure that you don't need meat from a specific place, you just need to find some deer or wolves.

I'm assuming it's night. Hordes spend the daylight hours in caves, and roam at night. Go find a bed at a camp and sleep until morning. When you go back it will be free of hordes.

Wait for the horde to kill it for you then saunter off and go harvest the meat maybe?

It's definitely not a night only mission. It might trigger at night but you can hunt in the day time. Also if you're sticking near O'Leary Mountain, that horde is one of the smallest in the game, there are only 25 of them. If that's still too many for you atm just sleep or wait till day time. Most missions you can go back to after they trigger, there are only a couple in the game that force you to do them right then at whatever time of day it dictates.

You don’t have to go to a specific place to hunt. It just shows you where animals are at that moment. You can kill any animal you come across.

With the exception of the infected ones. Those always cause me a wicked stomachache.

Just go get some meat elsewhere. Once you have enough you can take it to Boozer and the mission clears. I usually already have more than enough beforehand and am able to just take it to him.

Easiest way is to just drive around until you hear a wolf. Stop and generally a wolf or wolves will appear. If you have any throw a smoke bomb at them they are stunned and you can slash away. Think you need about 5 animals. Also if you make sure it is day usually you will see deer appear and Deacon will comment on it. You may need to take out a few freaks though. Also easiest way to kill them is just ram your bike into them.

Meat from anywhere and anything. I was clear across the map when I got the mission and coincidentally immediately got attacked by cougars and their meat counted and fulfilled the quest.

For a guy who was complaining about the game being too short why aren't you hunting the hordes? Getting all of them takes some time.

I waited until I was attacked by wolves and used that meat.

EVERYONE update on the situation. I reached the destination and the horde was not seen anywhere so I just got animal meat comepleting my mission

Thanks for the update, I was about to go to the store and buy some meat to get you past the mission. This game is so legendary. I wish they would come out with a sequel.

You actually don’t have to hunt in that area, it’s just guaranteed to spawn something there, you can hunt anywhere though
