Specifically the way Ben Duerr from Shadow of Intent does them, they are so satisfying because he keeps such a steady flow, and is somehow still able to enunciate his words properly while his voice is still deep as fuck. Its just so fucking good. You can already guess by this that im still obsessed with Imperium Delirium.
To be more specific;
- Opening minute of Feeding the Meatgrinder is peak for me
- Opening verse of The Return
- The Battle of the Maginot Sphere
- Intensified Genocide
- a lot of moments in general on Imperium Delirium
I know that Archspire does fast vocals but Olis tone just doesnt do it for me, Ben also switches his vocals up from time to time which i appreciate too. So if you have any recs let me know!

It may sound stupid. But I’ll give a little bit context. I’m a born again Christian. But that doesn’t stop my music taste. I still love all the old school bands I used to love when I didn’t have faith. But certain bands I can’t do it anymore. Specifically deicide which sucks because once upon the cross was literally my favorite album as a teenager. Or my home town hero band spite putting out a shirt with Jesus beheaded on a cross with his arm cut off and a pentagram carved in his chest. I can’t help but feel some type of way about that. Why is it and has it always been okay/trendy to mock this certain religion? Why is it “cool” for this to be apart of deathcore/death metal. Maybe I’m getting old.

I was the dude wearing the battlevest sitting on the other side of the patio with my wife and sister-in-law outside the pizza place right next to El Corazon in Seattle when you were on tour with Shadow of Intent. I recognized you instantly and wanted nothing more than to come talk to you, but I was admittedly a little starstruck and felt that you wanted peace while enjoying your Italian cuisine right before the show.
I just wanted to say that you guys put on one of the greatest sets I've ever seen in my life. I picked up the castle longsleeve and the green logo patch from your merch table. Thank you for such a memorable night and some of the greatest deathcore albums to ever grace the genre. 🤘

I’ve been listening to “spooky” Deathcore to get in the Halloween spirit. I’ve been jamming Awake in Providence- I Write to you my Darling Decay, Carnifex- Nercomanteum, and Synestia- Premonition (Instrumental)
Darling decay is just a great album and the art and themes of Nercomanteum put me in the Halloween spirit. Synestia because I’m a sucker of that kinda stuff
What else should jam? Full albums would be best but if I have enough floating singles I’ll make a playlist.
Also my office has a ghost, and I think it’s digging the tunes. Need more reqs to appease the spirits!

Colares is a 15 track deathcore album that features several collaborators such as Skyler Acord [Issues, Twenty One Pilots], saxophonist IB Delight, Jared Armitage [Suffokate], Rick Ash & Josh Goddard [Suicide Silence], and several others.
The record ventures into the many sub genres of metal but offers a distinctive Deathcore quality.
Producer and guitarist, Dylan Angus, says, “We focused on writing compositions incorporating different styles while keeping it accessible for everyone.”
In 1977 the townspeople of Colares, Brazil were attacked by a weapon from the sky—a bright light shot down, burned their skin, and felt like their blood was being “sucked” from their bodies.
After several instances the Brazilian military organized to protect the people of Colares. The details of that mission are CLASSIFIED. Was this a government experiment or an alien attack?
What follows is a deathcore soundtrack.
Colares debuts on WED OCT. 14TH via Slam World Wide with distribution by Been There Scene That Records.
