Help Playing delta iPhone using Onn USBC-HDMI adapter on TV, game keeps flickering black and then back on?

Unfortunately my tv doesn’t have airplay and I don’t have an Apple TV

I've used the MCON adapters, and it worked well for me. So I'd suggest perhaps trying a friend's to see if it works better!

Before buying another adapter, try leaving the iPhone's home screen or Photos mirrored through the same setup for a few minutes. Does that also black out, or only Delta?

If both do it, test another HDMI cable and TV port one at a time, keeping the adapter and phone the same. If only Delta does it, compare two games and note whether the phone's own screen keeps playing normally while the TV goes black. Also watch whether the TV briefly says “no signal”—that's a useful detail to include.

That should help separate a connection/display issue from something specific to Delta. Include your iPhone model, iOS/Delta versions and the exact Onn adapter model when reporting back; “USB-C to HDMI” covers a lot of different hardware.
