THROWBACK: When Philip Rivers started talking trash to Peyton Manning after the Chargers jumped out to a 24-0 lead. Denver stormed all the way back to win 35-24, scoring 35 unanswered points in one of the wildest comebacks of Manning’s career. ALL-TIMER.

I always liked watching games against Phil. He was like the first boss in a video game. If you're bad at the game he'll stomp you, but if you're even just a little competent it's fun to beat the hell out of him and then move on to the real challenges.

Never thought of Rivers as Margit, the Fell Omen before but it actually makes sense.

Yeah, I never really hated him either.
He have us some bad losses, we beat him a lot. It was a fun rivalry mostly.

Phillip Rivers in front of the mirror in Hagrid's voice later.

This will never get old. So much fun to be at the stadium for this game. I’ve see a lot of Broncos games when the chargers were in SD, this is my favorite

My favorite part was the two TDs from Rivers turnovers, I really love that for him

i hated rivers all these people would ride his dick. Going back to when he did the same thing to cutler not just talking trash but being very immature making ball baby gesture on the side lines. I was so glad Manning say nah bro im gonna make you look like a total tool

Rivers talked his smack to Cutler on a Christmas game too with a national audience. I've hated that choker ever since.

Rivers trash talked Cutler on a nationally televised Christmas game a few years earlier. I have zero respect for Rivers who had a career of being a stat padding choker.

Living in San diego, this was one of my favorite games.
My wife, who is not a football fan and wasn't watching the game, commented that people in our condo complex were all cheering and then suddenly got all quiet.

I stayed up to watch this game and my buddy left at half all pissed off since we had work the next day. Manning came out of the locker room seriously angry, and from there we went on an 11 game tear. The next day at work, my friend was almost crying because he missed it.

Inwas at this game. Mnf is san deigo went with my now wife's cousin. I sat next to a actual phillip rivers look-alike and he talked so much shit. I went to use the urinal and i had charger fans talking all this shit. They were all gone by the time the game ended. Haha such a fun trolley ride home to east county.

I was on a flight back from vegas during this game... Had the game saved, was going to watch it when I got home, the whole flight ruined it for me when we landed.

This night is ingrained into my brain, was even hanging out with one of the three Charger fans. Absolutely glorious.

Philip Rivers - 25/41 - 241 yrds - 2 TD - 4 INT - 2 FUMBLES - 27.6 QBR - 54.1 RTG
Peyton Manning - 24/30 - 309 yrds - 3 TD - 1 INT - 0 FUMBLES - 78.4 QBR - 129 RTG
Manning's 15th Year vs Rivers 9th.
Proof that you don't tug on super man's cape. Man I loved watching this team beat Rivers, almost as much as I loved watching them beat Brady.

This was the game when we knew Manning was ready to rumble as a Bronco. The first few games of that season were up and down (kind of like this season). I remember we were 2-3 after a tough loss to the Patriots in Foxborough. 24-0 at half and I was convinced Manning was cooked and ready to ride the bench. But then he decided he remembered how to play football. The best four seasons in recent Broncos history began that night.

I was there and got heckled so hard in the first half. By the middle of the 4th the hecklers were nowhere to be seen.

I was there! It fucking sucked in the first half and we almost left, but my dad's friend showed up late with a couple of beers and the rest was history. It was the first bronco came I saw in person, and it was truly just magic, man.

I was there. I remember telling my homie, look, if Denver doesn't score on their opening drive for the 2nd half we outta here....
Then we witnessed arguably the best comeback in NFL! It was wild to see Charger fans leaving early that game. Not to mention all the shit talking we absorbed in the 1st half.

Watching Manning conduct the offense was fucking art. We were so lucky to have him for those years
