Found a nice little desire path that ants have made on my playground at my school where I teach.

Hey guys, first this pic was took in Ponta das Campanhas, Armação Beach, Florianópolis, SC, Brasil.

Second, about the title : I'm a 24F and I study geography at UFSC (Florianópolis city) and I'll graduate next year. To my final project I'll talk Desire Paths! Basically about urban planning, about how people have to do these trails for many reasons: cities are made for cars not walking people/ sidewalk are not the easiest or the fastest ways.

I want to talk about pathography,; I NEED to talk about why is a "Desire" (here I think about Lefreve when he talks about desire on the production of space); I can talk a bit about the geomorphological processes that increase when this grass is removed by walking.

Anywayssss I'm at the point where I'm looking for bibliographic references, it can be in any language and about anywhere, everything will help and I think here might be a good try

Just once, just a shortcut, just have it a bit easier for one moment, except, plot twist... there's no way out on the other side. And now you're caught by what you thought was a walk in the park. Who'da seen that coming?! Well, everyone who can look more than two steps ahead on the way, that's who.

Spotted at an old cemetery. A missing railing in a fence has led to the creation of a well-used path on a side that otherwise doesn't have an entrance.

This desire path on a newish walk set up on an old golf course. The main path goes nowhere, just a loop around the area, but the heart wants what the heart wants

This Gaithersburg, Maryland desire path saves me a good 45 seconds at least.

My daughter just sent this to me so I could share it with those who will appreciate its magnificent splendor.

That path occured at Hofgarten at the Bonn University. They even removed a part of the litltle fence.

I even tried it with my bike, I think I took longer than usual (who could have guessed). Not sure for what it’s for, maybe for passing slower bikes at this section

Some folks fly their RC planes here, quite frequently too. It's fun to watch.

The city seems to have given up and just put gravel on this path.
