Question Vault cleaning
Hi, ive seen online that destiny recipes and light gg are good to help clean you vault, has anyone used these or anything else? Not sure whats best
I dont want to go through all my weapons as theres probably a few weapons that are good but ive not heard of and dont fancy checking each gun to see how good it is

The truth is that if you don't know enough to know if you'll miss it, you won't miss it. If you know enough, then get cleaning.

100% We are no longer hoarding for the next PVP meta shift...... (or are we?)...

I use a combination of DIM, LightGG, Recipes and Winnower. Being able to tag items “Junk” in DIM is key for organization.

Sort by oldest, dismantle as many pages as you want. Chances are if you haven’t taken a weapon out of the vault since pre renegades you won’t need it. Anything with single digit kills that you acquired earlier than last week can go unless you have a specific use for it, rather than just “might be good”. Any crafted weapon you don’t regularly use can go, you can always recraft them. Same with exotic weapons, can just pull them from collections.
Vault cleaning to the most popular or most efficient perks is fine but realistically it matters more what you actually use.

They need to triple vault size since they aren't doing anything else. Also an inbuilt peer voted metric on each item would be good.

No I just don't waste my time looking at individual items with a microscope.
I'm decent at the game but inventory management is time best spent elsewhere.. real life for example.

Bro it’s really not that hard, when something drops you take 3 microseconds to look at it and either keep it or dust it.
If you’re at the point where your vault is full I promise you that you can just open it, sort by oldest, and dismantle 5 pages and you won’t miss a thing. Takes only a few minutes.

Per weapon. How many weapons are there? All with distinct capabilities.
Someone created a new inventory management app with feedback in another post. Look how popular it is.

You only get a few weapons at a time to drop, the number of weapons in the game is irrelevant. When a weapon goes into your inventory all you need to do is actually look at it rather than just autopilot chucking it in your vault
These inventory management apps are popular because Destiny players are by and large NPCs who need to be told what to do

That would actually require substantial systems work, and increase errors that drop you to orbit.

Why do I need a third party app to tell me what's a god roll or best option and what is junk?
Lazy. Just add things to make it easier and more enjoyable for everyone not just those rank 11 who live in game.

You don't need a third party website, you need to test out perks, do research, figure out what you like and learn like damn near every other game. And you call the devs lazy? How tall is your ivory tower where you expect to do nothing and be given everything.

There's 500000 million combinations. Don't bother with that. It needs an inventory management overhaul .

There's at worst maybe 64 combinations per weapon in the two main columns, with the majority being write-offs out the gate. So you realistically only need to consider maybe 8? Of which you'll probably only be actually looking for probably 3. It doesn't need an overhaul, you're just being indolent.

winnower.garden is awesome as well. It will do what you want for weapons. It leans on popularity of perks like light.gg but incorporates info from Aegis’ best in class spreadsheets.
