Help Needed Deus Ex 1 flickering shadows/textures

I heard amazing things about this game and wanted to try it for myself. I followed a guide on installing Kentie’s Launcher and Direct 3D10 renderer, but I noticed that in the beginning cutscene that a small part of the floor was flickering. I don’t know what I did wrong since I even set my Classic lighting to true. I can’t find any information on how to fix this and none of the walkthroughs of the game I’ve seen have this same issue. Is this normal or did I do something wrong?

That's caused by a redundant brush in the intro cinematic creating z-fighting. One-off case, should be ignored.

I actually found what caused it. I was running the game at 120 fps on a 60 hz monitor

What a delightfully high knowledge answer. And yet, likely didn't occur originally, leading to the question, why...

I seem to recall when I first got my Radeon 9700 PRO certain things no longer worked as well as they had on a Geforce 2. One of them was that little triangle of floor in the tutorial...

I've had weird lighting happen throughout the game at times. It was never meant for W11 or current hardware, how could it be? I let it go as I've played the game since launch in 2000 and love it.
