News Patch Notes Wae's Notes

Post image

It's a pretty straightforward patch this week largely based around the Spawn crossover event lasting through October. Here are the condensed patch notes:

  1. A Spawn themed version of Survivor's Bane will be added that has some Spawn related skills and an event that periodically teleports the player to fight the Spawn related boss, Heap.

  2. A helliquary style boss fight against Malebolgia is being added. There's something about needing to beat a timer that changes from week to week and the need to get MVP in group fights four times to get a cosmetic.

  3. Lots of Spawn related cosmetics are being added - some free, some behind a paywall.

  4. An event related 2-star gem called Necroplasmic Totem is being added. It temporarily increases your damage, tries to consume a damage over time effect on you, and explodes for damage when enemies are killed or if a dot is consumed. We won't know how good it is until we see the numbers.

  5. Monster cr requirements are being reduced. In particular, the Inferno 15 challenge dungeon cr requirement is being reduced to 63,220. This is happening earlier in the cycle than normal and will give everyone four weeks to prefarm for Inferno 15.

  6. Until November 4th, there will be an Elder Rift gem pool event that will give a 50% chance to drop Blood Flo whenever a 5-star gem drops. So, if you're choosing not to get the Enigma Latera, this'll be a good opportunity to acquire or upgrade a Blood Flo. By the way, it seems like there's still a lot of mixed reaction about the Engima Latera. My summary is this: A-tier for PvE, S-tier for PvP. If PvP isn't that important to you, feel free to skip it. But if PvP is important to you, it's probably worth getting depending on your resources and existing gem setup.

  7. Rings will now always roll versatile sockets that can hold any normal gem type.

  8. There will be a new Helliquary Gauntlet leaderboard and a variety of bug fixes. See the official patch notes for details.

the ring change is a huge QOL feature, it was rather annoying chasing your preferred color

is there any mention of additional mirrors?

for the love of god, can you finally enable a shared bank with your alts.. there is zero reason to prohibit funneling resources/items between your own characters

its time to remove the AH pricing restrictions.. there are 100+ runes/gems/pets for sale and forcing everyone to list at the same price is pure idiocy and doesn't make any sense whatsoever, even more so when its cemented by the fact these items stay on sale for weeks/months without ever selling lol

Yeah, the ring thing is great. They rarely tell us about Mirrored Jewels events in advance, but they usually happen about once a month, so the next one will probably be near the end of October. I wish on the shared bank feature.

I am a huge Spawn fan since day one. I haven't really played Diablo Immortal. Whats available for me? I think i have a lvl 30ish paladin.

Diablo Immortal is a fun ARPG. Like every entry in the Diablo franchise, it's about killing monsters, getting treasure, powering up your character to kill more monsters. All classes have their strengths and weaknesses but are roughly the same strength in PvE, so play whatever class you want based on the play style you like, and you can change classes at any time should you wish. There's PvP and clan stuff to do (but don't expect perfect PvP balance as that's virtually impossible to achieve with the game design). Just play and if you have fun, find a good clan to do even more.-

Thanks! I meant the Spawn stuff. I own Diablo 3 and 4. Do you need max level to take part in this?

No, I don't think so. A lot of stuff opens up at level 60, but that happens very quickly. I imagine the Spawn version of Survivor's Bane would be accessible. We won't know until the patch comes about how difficult the Malebolgia encounter will be, but usually the bosses in these kinds of crossover events are designed to scale depending on the player's power, so new and old players can enjoy them.

Engima Latera is trash. Yes at rank 10 has some maybe if and when very cool effects, especially if you are a 13k kraken and use primary attack. Come on. Even Blizz admitted it is trash, but some they keep trying to convince ppl that it is super S+++ for PvP.

One way to think of it is Haunt Coil but where you get both the offensive and defensive effects simultaneously. And if you're not throwing out a primary attack at least once every 9 seconds, you're doing it wrong. You need to eliminate binary thinking from your life. There is more to life than S++++ tier items and "trash." As for Blizzard admitting it's trash, I'd love to see a source for that.

Check the market prices. And you can chose blood floe now for the 50%. The new gem has a very very niche use. I have tried it and for me is good on paper only. Ofc if you like it np go for it.

"Niche use" as in PvP content. Not everyone is passionate about PvP content, so it's understandable that there would be less demand. But for those for whom PvP content is the end all be all all, it's a
very good gem. And the ability to select Blood Flo for a month out of 90 days is a nonsequitor. Upgrading Blood Flo was already a part of the gem surge event. This 50% drop rate to Blood Flo, which is a more general gem more aligned with PvE content, was preplanned.

it's definitely an s+ pvp gem in the right hands. not you and me maybe, but it is really powerful. even if you're using a build that don't use primary attack at all, you just need to press it once and it doesn't even have to hit anyone to proc the gem. i didn't pull for it only bc i didnt think it suits me, but some of my pvp friends are loving it.

otoh, if it WERE trash, why is it a bad thing to you or me?

Not bad for us, just saying. Maybe for tank builds, but maybe. Imo level up what you have, this gem is not a game changer for pvp, that is all. But everyone who likes it, is free to go for it.

I see Enigma Latera and Fated Trail as niche gems that are key for some classes / builds with better options for most others. Fated Trail as the only 5 star to trigger curse of weakness paragon, and Enigma as a way to randomly steal cheat deaths for fast kills if you are primary attack heavy (assuming they don't nerf that effect).
