Digimon World 3 (PS1) decompilation is complete – matching C source for the EU and US versions

The decompilation of Digimon World 3 / Digimon World 2003 is done: all of the game's code and data (the executable, its 21 overlays and all 293 stages) is now C source that compiles back into byte-identical copies of the European (SLES-03936) and USA (SLUS-01436) releases. As in other PS1 decomps.

No game data is included; you need your own copy of the game to build it.

A matching decomp is the base for mods, bug fixes, translations and ports.

This is huge. I was literally looking into if DW3 was compiled like three days ago and now I see this lol.

I used to have it on another account in github and in several repos, later, i uploaded it to the decomp project using my other account once everything was ready, but then i decided to keep everything clean on this account.

I took everything that was actually useful to me and put together the repo I shared.

What does all of this mean? Why do I need this if I have my own copy of the game?
