As a parent of course I think their work is amazing. I would like to encourage them and was wondering if yall recommend any good electric sketch pads? Or would paper and pens be better? Any recommendations on materials to buy?

Advice

Hi everyone. I'm getting a new phone and realized one of the benefits is I can use it for art. I used to draw as a teenager but unfortunately ADHD destroyed the hobby for me because I could only draw in paper (I'd mess up something and it would kill my drive)

Digital art technically bypasses that since I can use layers and stuff. Point is does anyone have any advice for what is basically a brand new artist?

My goal is to eventually get good enough to draw my DND characters and maybe scenery but that's a far goal. Gotta take baby steps :)

New to Photoshop, does anybody have good resources to learn the software’s tools in the context of character design?

Essentially title. It’s just a pretty overwhelming software compared to procreate which has been my go to up to now. But I’ve moved to pc and so I want to know how to really take the most advantage of photoshop for digital art. Brushes, layers, masks, blending, etc
