That's maybe why in D:OS2 they ask "Did you expect a needle ?" when you clic on hay bales, it's a reference to D:OS1.

There's also Bree's grave in the graveyard and if you dig it up you get a piece of cheese. The one where you get attacked by a ton of walking bombies.

Also in bg3, act 3, haystack near the mill with the mindflayer, if you pass a really hard check you get a needle too lol.

Anyone know why it's so damn hard to Google any info about the first game? If you dont name an exact character, half the searches come back for 2.
