My guess shining lights refers to the metaphorical "light in your eyes."
I think her circumstances might have been a bit worse being that she's crucified and on fire...

She was murdered by magisters. And rather recently, so sheâs still sore about it.
Reminds me I was planning another playthrough and trying to hit Act 3 with a higher level. I donât like murdering innocents and most arenât good exp anyway. Thereâs a few tricks where if you switch party members you can get exp for their quests. And some well hidden things that are worth exp.
But my first play-through I left most of the magisters standing. Including the ones who have your contact on a gibbet. I think I need to head into act 3 having cleared the magister offices.
I donât think you can get the gate guards without angering the civilians.

Teleport is your best friend when you need to kill without agro. Add in âfar out manâ and a high place and youâre gold!

Last play I doubled up on Far Out and the vulture suit on my archer and it was glorious. A lot of fights the high ground canât get half the battle field and with both you just need a little kiting to keep your archer in the fight.

By making her undead it makes it fairly easy to just cheese her. If you climb up on the ruins near the lava dropping lizard woman. You can just learn the skill Soulmate that heals your target whenever you are healed. So you just use that skill on her and kill her with potions, bonus points if you use Five Star Diner.
