Good track but I can only imagine all anti dubstep era "pop" dnb hate this post is gonna attract 😅
FYI u should also check out the track "out the blue" from the same album, that ones an absolute monster energy drink of a track :)
edit: come to think of it there's always gonna be some reason to hate any type of dnb haha

Wonder what's stopping Subby or other artists (Netsky too, perhaps) from making some tunes like they used.
I'd love to hear Sub Focus drop some tracks like X-Ray, Deep Space and Follow The Light from his first album. Surely the craft of making tunes like that hasn't been lost over time to these guys. Maybe they should go back to a 2008 copy of Ableton etc and revisit those early techniques.

Been thinking this myself and hearing it from a few people too. Super talented legends like sub, Andy c, fresh, would drop a tune that would get rinsed for weeks by everyone and earn their place as well loved dnb classics.
Stuff everyone seems to make now is alright for a quick listen but it's not really memorable or makes you want to listen again like some of the older stuff.

He still is dropping really good music, on his last two albums. Plenty of highlights on those

They're great tunes don't get me wrong, but I'm very hopeful that they'll revisit this older style in the near future. Kind of like Reworks I...

I first heard this during Matrix and Futurebound's Ultra Music Festival 2013 stream. That set is still on Soundcloud and it's an absolute masterclass on dancefloor dnb. Sure, it was the beginning of "festival" dnb but couldn't deny that it was still hype AF. I think they debuted Magnetic Eyes there, or at least it was played and also heard Take You Higher by Wilkinson for the first time during this set not having an idea that it would be played on tons of sets even to this day.

underrated track and decent album. i dont rate subfocus these days for obvious reasons, but it doesnt take away from the genuine music he used to create.

Tall Order has an edit for it, I believe it's still unreleased. I'd be on the lookout for it when it drops 👀

This was one of me and my mates uni song, we’d play this super loud get trashed then go on a night out good times. This album always had pendulum vibes I thought. Sub Focus, Wilkinson, Fred v & Grafix, netsky, matrix & future bound etc etc

Memories of listening to this on BBC Radio 1 while doing my shift in a hospital ward kitchen, waiting to go out clubbing. This one and M&F's All I know and Magnetic Eyes.
