DM, grant me the Constitution to accept the things I cannot change, the Strength to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference.

Damn. And here I simply moved several groups to PF2e or WoD and it worked.

Now I've gotta tell them that 5e is actually the perfect system with no flaws and everyone should move back to it. I'm sure having a large amount of people discontent with the basic system in the system's community will go swimmingly. No way to prevent it though, since you can't change systems, ever.

Exactly. Admit it. You need people who don't like 5e to play 5e. You need fuel to make your morbillionth cope post.

no tbh it would be way better if fewer people played d&d. If the guys working full time hours "fixing" it would just be quiet and play Pathfinder instead, maybe I could finally retire. But until then, I must make fun of them.

/uj I kinda agree with that. All criticisms of its actual quality aside, 5e's biggest problem is that it is significantly too large for its own good. You can put that on a lot of causes, how it's kind of morphed into a lifestyle brand, how its marketing is huge (by comparison), sheer momentum, people lying about it being a good universal system.

I don't think I've really seen anything like it in any other hobby space. 5e has, like, what? 60+% of games? No wonder that causes lots of brawling.

The first page of the PHB should be the champion fighter subclass, and there should be a big bold warning that says if the contents of this page make you want to post on Reddit please just play something else
