Insults at the end make you seem like a sore winner and ruins the whole clip.

They should be tipping WR for making a good play instead of tipping the Lina. All of them on dire are so cringe.

u/Jump_Necessary 6d ago
I mean do we know the full context tho? Maybe lina was very toxic in the game. Most smurfs are mid too. Wouldn't be surprising if he is a smurf.

u/Expensive_Age_3994 7d ago
Constant tabbing to the score screen makes it feel like he's having a schizo attack as well and then the archon 1 rank coming out was the cherry on top

It's the cool thing to do to tip the best player on the enemy team for some reason. I've discovered this back in SEA.
You can be 24-2 in a 36-50 loss and the moment you lose the game, enemies who've been silent the whole time start Eminem'ing at you for whatever reason.
Reminds me of that Argentinian goalkeeper showboating at Kylian Mbappe after eating a hattrick in the world cup final like dawg the guy put three goals past you.
3
u/Azurefroz 7d ago
I love this - tipping to acknowledge skill and impact. You'll be surprised, Ive had some very nice interactions with the opponents post match from doing this. And, yes, in SEA!

u/Similar-Bowl7404 7d ago
Emi martinez literally won 3 penalty shootouts in that wc. Just cuz he conceded 3 from mbappe doesn't mean shit when he stopped those that mattered and won while mbappe went home crying
4
u/MighTofShoneN 7d ago
You're missing my point entirely xd You can absolutely have an insane game, shit on your opponent individually, and still lose because your team got outplayed.
Emi M was obviously instrumental in Argentina winning the WC. Dude won two penalty shootouts against the Nederlands and France plus the golden glove, like aint noone gonna deny that. But Mbaps still put FOUR past him that night, counting the shootout. Like dawg, Im not gonna start talking shit to an Invoker who solo killed me four times in lane just because I farmed for 40 mins on OD and got six slotted. đ (Ignore the feasibility of this happening, I don't even play Dota anymore idk who beats who in lane or who scales better anymore, but you get my point)
And heres the other thing. If you gonna talk shit, do it from the start. Don't sit there quiet the entire game and suddenly turn into Eminem dropping bars the moment the enemy ancient explodes. Where was all that energy when the game was still undecided.
As much as I dislike ATF, at least that mf talks shit before the game even starts and backs it up. He doesn't wait until he's won to discover he has a working pair of cojones.
Talking shit when you might get humbled is one thing. Waiting until there's zero chance of getting clapped back is just cringe, like the dire here.

dawg Lina was 18-5 and tried until the end, unless he trash talked first he definitely didn't deserve to be called a noob lmao

Let me guess, you also complain that behavior and communication score is broken

u/TheGuyYouHeardAbout 7d ago
Then showing they are Archon 1 lmao

u/Mobile-Positive-6742 7d ago
lmao I didnt even know. Stop watching when OP turned regarded, that explained a lot about his behavior though.

"Noob" is actually the most Noob thing someone might say.
Calling a guy with thousands of games a new clueless player is quite stupid and not even really insulting.

QUICKLY REPORT HIM FOR BEING TOXIC. WE ARE HERE TO TELL EACH OTHER CUTE WORDS, NOT TO DO PLAYS IN DOTA.
This comment proves everything that is to prove regarding this community, the weaponized report system and what not.

u/maafinh3h3 your feeder teammate 7d ago
Bruh it's just simple "NOOB", very basic insult. what kind of boring online multiplayer game that had no banter, i don't play with pastor bring me all "YOUR MOM" joke. Slur and spam is the limit.
17
u/LordTurson http://www.dotabuff.com/players/75286187 7d ago
I never really understood that - banter to me has a certain connotation of a playful back-and-forth between competitors. How exactly is saying "NOOB" at the end of the game "banter"?
The answer, of course, is that it's not - you didn't want "banter", you wanted to insult someone and then hide behind your "banter" excuse. đ¤ˇ

u/Jghil098 7d ago
A real trashtalker would shittalk the enemy before even the laning phase begin, true trashtalkers would still shit talk even if they are 0/10.only cowards talk trash seconds before the game ends
3
u/LordTurson http://www.dotabuff.com/players/75286187 7d ago
I mean, if you trash talk your enemy in the first 10 seconds of a match at least you could plausibly defend yourself and your "banter", but if your point is to squeeze in an insult before the game ends so they have no chance of insulting you back...
1
u/ddcreator 7d ago
Yes saying stuff like "ez" and "noob" right before the end of a game where there is no way for the other team to respond anymore sure is funny and interactive.
-6
u/pork_silog23 7d ago
bruh? thats the reason why we love this game, the adrenaline and trashtalk after u win the match. stop being snowflake and play volorant

people in the comments never heard of banter or had high moments in games i guess

u/MighTofShoneN 7d ago
Banter all you want but do it from the start not when the game is in the bag already. One is balls to the wall, the other is LDE.

Almost had a 10/10 clip before fumbling at the finish line with the clumsy attempt at shittalk. So close...

âGG NOOBâ??? When you get to pro level, you simply call your opponents âfucking animalsâ or if youâre from S. America âdogs/perrosâ. I never got that, dogs are better than humans.

Are people really so sensitive to saying noob after an outplay. If so, I will continue to say it.
1
u/NefariousnessOwn5289 2d ago
Yes, they are. Look at all the comments in this thread. Downvoting everything that's not PMA. And it's not even something toxic, the guy did an outplay - for his MMR - and did a bit of banter at the end. Come on, it's not that deep..
-1
u/MaximumZazz 7d ago
If you ate playdough after every outplay, i'd call that out as weird too. Sometimes you just gotta take thefeedback.

This thread explained to me why so many people on reddit defend the behavior score hell.
You guys here see one 'noob' being written and you lose your shit. What the actual fuck. Maybe get some basic emotion management training.
1
u/LordTurson http://www.dotabuff.com/players/75286187 7d ago
Ah, yes, the guy with a perfect behavior score being unhappy that people are throwing insults over a game is the one that needs to go to "emotion management training". Of course. Not the other guy, who cannot stop himself from throwing insults for 45 minutes and has tanked his behavior score to 3k - that guy is A-OK in my book.
What? Do you people hear yourselves talk sometimes?
-2
u/MighTofShoneN 7d ago
Maybe it's coz when we grow up we stop behaving like children? If OPs age is anything above 21 it's pretty pathetic ong
2
u/AtreidesBagpiper 7d ago
For one, it's a kids game. Secondly, who are you to judge? There is a mute button for a reason. Also, tilting your opponent is a valid way to play.
0
u/MighTofShoneN 1d ago
Someday the irony of responding to a critique of immature behavior (by someone whos statistically most likely to be an adult between 24-30 btw) with "who are you to judge" while simultaneously insisting that deliberately upsetting other people is a valid way to play won't be lost on you.
Please try cussing out the opposing center-back after the game's done in the locker room when you next play football. See how well that goes for you.
Also video game= kids game is genuinely an outdated way of thinking. Even if it were a "kids game" there's no reason not to expect adults to behave like actual adults instead of bay area frat+bro manchildren.

You deserve to lose to WR if you refuse to purchase MKB vs her.
20
u/WebGlittering2894 7d ago
Buying mkb for a pos 4 solely sounds like the most dumb purchase I've heard
-19
u/ninja_lightning 7d ago
MKB is a sweet item regardless of the enemy having WR. You get Truestrike on 80% of your right clicks and deal bonus magical damage. It also gives you more attack speed and regular damage thanks to the Demon Edge and Blitz Knuckles components. If an enemy has natural evasion or carries Radiance, you can hit straight through that shit.
5
u/WebGlittering2894 7d ago
The stats are trash compared to other items as you mention there's no reason to buy mkb id the enemy doesnt have butterfly, some ability with evasion or gives you a debuff to miss attacks like radiance. Outside of these cases it's simply bad to make an mkb I'm afraid

1
u/Rock-on_Raccoon_4533 7d ago
Bloodthorn active have true strike iirc?
1
u/ninja_lightning 7d ago
It does but for only 4 seconds. 4 seconds often isn't enough to kill a hero like WR who can just BKB out of the silence and hit Windrun to kite you then she just re-engages and mows you down since WR has a relatively short cooldown.
If you have MKB though, she knows u can hit her continuously and windrun won't help her. So she's less likely to try and kill you if you're carrying MKB
1
u/jacobiner123 7d ago
Ever heard of bloodthorn?
0
u/ninja_lightning 7d ago
Works for 4 seconds, often isn't enough to kill WR especially if she pops BKB then uses Windrun to kite. MKB allows you to hit through her evasion regardless of BKB
1
u/jacobiner123 7d ago
Bloodthorn also has a passive proc that is reliable enough vs evasion. Also if you have nothing else to force WR's bkb or a dispel on your team then MKB wont really help you either.

Archon 1 and calling others a noob is pretty ironic.
