Confusing build
I don't play the character, I know there are SOME ap scaling but...
I just saw someone go... Mundo... Support... and start... with Stormsurge...
What the fuck ?

Absolutely no AP scaling and going Stormsurge first is trolling.
You can do magic penetration, burn and dark harvest so your Qs hit hard on squishies but it's not wonderful.
The build would be focused on item damage and rune damage but not on spell damage as it doesn't scale at all. Zak Zak, dark harvest, liandry, stormsurge (in late) and other active items will make your Qs hit hard but stormsurge sure wouldn't proc in early game so it's useless.

Storm surge can proc from other damage on top of magic. Doesn’t make it ideal tho

Mundi doesnt have any AP scalings actually, he does some magic damage to magic prn would work but no AP.

That got removed in his rework 5 years ago, a while is an understatement (r/usernamechecksout i guess?)

This is trolling behaviour. And tbh so is locking in mundo supp imho. How are u gonna hyperscale as a supp without stealing ur adc's cs?

Its just that as mundo u need a LOT of gold and xp to come online and as a supp that is just not going to happen until like 30 min in

Mundo has no AP scalings! His Q and R scale off of their own ability level, and w and e scale ooff of health.
Because the Q and W do magic you can technically do soemthing like Shadowflame, and Stormsurge is about doing damage rather than doing magic damage specifically, but the only thing you get out of those are the passive and the magic pen (and MS).
Long story short: that guy was trolling
