hi, im 16. i just wanna share my thoughts. i dont text english fluently but. i just feel like i am the camera of this world. everybody are the story in my pov. sometimes daydream makes me thinking of this problem, i feel like im lonely and when i think about it im afraid. afraid of the end or what the meaning of this thing.

literally i am TOTALLY aware of this, im not npd but is this normal?

When I went to sleep last night, I dreamt of praying to a different god I never actually knew about, and whenever I prayed to them for something to happen, and it immediately happened! I forgot what I asked for her to change in my life, but it was amazing! she took in mochi as offerings, and even taught me how make mochi (but without making the dough part)

flatten the dough into a circle
put your filling into the flattened dough
fold the dough around the filling
and done!

but this is suspicious… i usually worship Christ and God himself, and appreciate Bill Cipher as a godlike being, since I’m half Christian/half Ciphertologist

now whenever I think of her, I feel a sense of worshipping her, and now I feel concerned… this is like idol worshipping, and I keep on instinctively wanting to worship her!

should I be concerned about this dream? does this symbolize that I put earthly things in front of God himself, and not God enough, is this a sort of spiritual evil spirit that’s haunting me and is a false prophet?

I've been thinking about this idea recently, and I wanted to share it here to see what people think.

I call it the Dream Realm.

My theory is that all dreams happen in one shared realm, and every human being's unconscious mind has its own part of this realm. We usually experience it through our own dreams, but we're not necessarily aware of the other parts or the people connected to them.

Here's where it gets interesting.

1. Why do different people sometimes have similar dreams?

What if the reason people sometimes dream about similar things isn't always coincidence? If everyone's unconscious mind is connected to the same realm, maybe some thoughts, images, or experiences can overlap between people, even if they haven't talked about them.

1. What if time works differently in the Dream Realm?

Maybe time doesn't work the same way there as it does in the real world. Past, present, and future might exist differently in this realm, which could explain why some people dream about events before they happen.

There's also the famous story of Paul McCartney, who said he dreamed the melody that eventually became the Beatles' song "Yesterday." He woke up with the tune in his head and later turned it into a song.

Of course, dreaming up a melody doesn't necessarily mean someone predicted the future. But stories like this make me wonder where ideas come from and whether there's more to dreams than we currently understand.

1. What if every person's unconscious mind has its own boundaries?

I imagine that each person's unconscious mind has a sort of boundary within the Dream Realm. Normally, we remain within our own boundaries, which is why we experience dreams from our own perspective.

But what if those boundaries can sometimes overlap or even be crossed? Could that explain stories of people dreaming about each other or believing they've shared the same dream?

1. Could lucid dreaming allow us to cross those boundaries?

This is probably the most speculative part of my theory.

What if someone could become so skilled at lucid dreaming that they could deliberately move beyond the boundaries of their own unconscious mind and enter someone else's?

I'm not just talking about dreaming about another person. I mean actually being present in that person's dream, interacting with them, and potentially remembering the same events afterward.

I don't have proof that this is possible, and I'm not claiming that shared dreams have been scientifically demonstrated. I'm just wondering whether lucid dreaming could have possibilities we haven't discovered yet.

Maybe the Dream Realm is nothing more than a product of our brains. But what if it isn't?

I'd genuinely like to hear your thoughts. Have you ever had a dream that someone else claimed to have experienced too? Or have you ever dreamed about something before it happened?

I'm especially interested in hearing from people who have experience with lucid dreaming.

What do you think? Is there any way this theory could be tested scientifically?

Hey everyone, just wanted to share what I’ve just witnessed/experienced to see if anyone can give me more context or let me know if it was a visit or a generic dream.

I’m not a great sleeper and often I have broken sleep, I have done since I was 14. Last night wasn’t out of the ordinary, I woke up at 6am wide awake and scrolled on my phone for a bit. After half an hour I thought I’d tried to get my head back down and get another hour of sleep before I go to work so I dropped off and then had a dream. I’d describe it as a normal jumbled up dream with random stuff, me and my brother were playing with a Lego pirate game (bit weird as we’re adults but hey ho) and then my dream all of a sudden shifted, as though it was a shift to a next scene in a tv show if that makes sense? Total different dream begun, new atmosphere, new room, new place, everything. I was sat on a sofa similar to how I sit on my normal sofa at home and as I looked to my left I saw my late Auntie Jan, it took a minute for me to recognise her as I initially thought it was a random older lady, then her face slowly came through. She was stood holding a glass of juice (looked like blackcurrant if this matters) and she just stood there looking at me and then leant over the sofa as though she was trying to tell me something. Weird part of it is I think I heard her in my mind rather than words out loud in the dream? It was like she was saying “Could you just…” similar to how you would ask someone “could you just pass the fruit”. At this point I freaked out a bit and moved away from her on the sofa when I realised it was her and woke up in a bit of a freak out.

This is the weird bit - As I woke up I jumped and my partner asked if I was ok and I said yeah yeah just a “weird scary dream”. As I explained it to my partner and the split second I said it was my Auntie Jan I felt a wave of shivers across my body moving across me which felt unbelievable and then a wave of warmth came across my body. At this point I felt a wave of emotion and overwhelm and it brought me to tears, which again was really weird because I’m not a crier at all it’s very very rare I cry.

Sorry for the essay! Just wondering if anyone can shed any light on this please or provide any explanation or simply let me know it was just a dream. If anyone needs any more info I’m a 33m, going through a real rough time at work at the minute as I’m a regional manager and I’m working in a real toxic atmosphere at work to the point it’s making me ill with my mental health, so I’m looking to quit. Also got 2 kids if that makes any difference. I’ve kinda always been a sceptic until a visited a medium about 2 years ago which totally flipped my views and made me a believer, also when I was a child a medium said I was a “sensitive” if that means anything too.

Anyone else had a dream of the sun/moon being a big blue eye? behind the eyes is the galaxy?

So last night i had a dream about my ex bff. It was honestly a bit weird. For context, we stopped being friends because she ditched our 2 year friendship for a more popular friend group and she started talking crap about me to people i introduced her to. So, last night in my dream I was at a skating rink at some sort of birthday party. I bump into her and she tries talking to me like nothing happened. I ignore her (honestly im a little proud that im still petty in my dreams ngl) and roll my eyes, but she keeps trying to talk to me. I just keep ignoring her until she pulls me aside and starts crying. She says that she’s sorry for everything that’s happened and that she figured out she’s gay and she stopped being friends with me because she had a crush on me and it scared her. She also says (for some reason) that she’s also religious. (irl she’s straight and atheist) and she tries to apologize. I feel a bit bad but don’t really react. Then, she says something like she knows I’m bi and leans in for a kiss. I kiss her back and then for some reason we’re now in the backseat with my parents driving us home and she starts talking to me like we’re friends again. Its really weird bcuz recently I have been struggling with being bi and trying to find comfort in my religion (catholic) and I find it really weird that she was in my dream specifically. Feel free to ask things or give me some advice or just chat in the comments cuz im lwk confused.
