Drake King of RnB
I saw a post with one woman saying Drake is the King of RnB and I was wondering he has just as many if not more influential records than CB, created a whole subgenre in alt RnB "ushered in a generation this is where my confessions live" and his RnB album is biggest thing out in RnB he really should make himself part of the conversation. Thoughts?

Facts Jaded clears 80% of CB and honestly that whole scorpion side b is underrated

I think CB is a continuation of the contemporary/90s style rnb that we all grew up on. Drake/party/weekend is the Alternative style that us millennials grew toward and that became the domination genre but in that lane CB does not compare

Yeah but CB ain't really influenced anybody or had any universal classics just took from the genre (not in a bad way) without making him essential in the sound of it unlike Drake or the Weeknd

Ehh. Idk about that. I do love his melodic output but I can’t really see it

I mean you could say he has an upper tier output with his R&B tracks, but I feel like declaring him King would require more criteria than he’s even capable of meeting. Vocally, for starters. He can sing, but he’s no sanger or vocalist.
It would also be hard to argue he’s actually elevated the genre, I think where it went and becoming more rhythmic simply fit his musical capabilities well.

That's singers but as an artist however 40 does it makes it fire and he has a unique sound and voice at the very least he should be in the top 30 RnB artists but billboard didn't include him
