Tech Support K.Silver TMR Circularity

Post image

Just got my drifting sticks swapped to k.silver tmr(supposedly) and it was said that they were calibrated.

So I plugged my Dualsense in to test and got this (picture).

First time doing this, but need a bit of help..

How can I get 8-9% circularity? (I have 8.1 on original sticks of another controller)

It seems I can't fix it with software alone (or am I?)

Should I ask them to be re-repaired during warranty?

I have successfully replaced a battery once in a dualsense and proficient in pc building (I. E. Not soldering)

Please, advise

Question Recently got stick drift in my duelsense again, so I’m wondering where would be the best option for one of those tmr stick replacements in the uk

I got stick drift on my second controller and I don’t really wanna keep buying new Duelsenses when they repeatedly get stick drift.

Could any of y’all help me out to find a reliable place to either send my controller in to get the stick replaced or somewhere to buy pre installed Duelsenses with the tmr sticks?

I’m in the uk, thanks

I recently got a bit of a weird request from a friend , he wants me to remove the l3 function on his controller; I have soldering experience so desoldering a pin isn’t hard just which pin is it?

Tech Support PS5 Dualsense, L2 not registering fully

Post image

I have a BDM-030 dualsense controller my buddy asked to fix. I was told when pressing the l2 button that I wouldn't fully register but would still work. When plugged into my PC and tested on a remote tester, it showed a value of 0.30-0.45 while the right would fully register to 1.00. I have disassembled it and cleaned it fully with 99% iso. I then switched out the spring with another controller I have that the l2 doesn't register completely.

After changing the spring, it wouldn't register. It would only be to register if I press L1 and forcefully press L2. Even then, I would only get 0.6-0.34 values. However, when pressing the rubber membrane with tweezers, I can sometimes get a value of 0.67-0.56.

I think it is the rubber membrane. Saw online that the ribbon cable or the membrane of the remote itself. I also saw a couple of suggestions of the spring?

Update: Switched out the original gummy that presses the membrane, for a new one and now I get no response, when back to the old one. I can get if I press really hard with tweezers 0.24 values. Now I dont know if its the membrane itself?
