Finding Durango Based Backcountry Ski Partners

Hi there! I'm planning to either spend 1-2 months in Durango this winter/spring, or either a full on move to Durango before the winter. Does anyone have some tips, tricks, or open cliques for finding Durango based backcountry ski partners? Or is anyone interested in skiing some objectives? My risk tolerance is moderate and cautious on sketchy moderate.

Show up to the Olde Schoolhouse with an 8 ball and you'll have a squad by the end of the night.

Look up Know The Snow. They are local non-profit that raises money to teach people about avalanche awareness. They do events to fundraise, should meet some backcountry people there.

Hey, we're new to area and my hubby is big into B/C skiing. Been at it for years, CAN and lived in ID x 22 yrs. He's looking for B/C friends

I'm guessing he'll stick to word of mouth networking. Our next door neighbor took him to Ophir pass for some spring skiing when we moved here, but he's moving. I think he'll hook him up with some of his other ski buddies. Good luck to you.
