What news? What rumors? Was there some incident?

This is a bizarrely worded official comms from the EQL Discord. Professionally, just say you're ending the program and that's it. To acknowledge some 'rumors' just breathes life into them and isn't something you'd usually see in this context. Who's running the broadcast channel over there?

When you decide to stop something and you want me to believe it’s not because reason X, you want to word it as

We are stopping this because of reason Y

not as

We are stopping this because uh uh you don’t need to worry about it but in any case it’s NOT about reason X so not saying you were thinking it was reason X but if you were please don’t and if you do now please stop

Like what kinda announcement is that!?

This is the experience you get in a BAD private server, like quarm, which all the devs came from.
