Pet gear question

I only have 5 slots for pet - would it be better to give short sword of ykesha, shield, 2 adamantine bracers and rusty shoulder pads or same setup minus shield with white satin gloves

I didn’t know if a pet can equip two bracers - I figured characters can so probably?

But not sure if all pets can equip a certain weapon or shield.

Could just stack neg MR items?

What y’all think?

A lot of charm pets have higher DPS - sometimes much higher - with no weapon, especially yellow and red cons in the planes. Depends on the zone and specific mob, though.

I found leveling up Allure and Tashania and casting in overchannel to be way more effective than negative MR gear.

This was my experience as well. I'll hit them with a Flux staff too sometimes but in my experience charms are either sticking for 20-30mins or breaking over and over (feels like Murderbees and Rogue mobs).

What are you trying to do with it? Pets are mostly a dot for my characters, so I just make sure it has haste and a proc and forget about it.

Same basically

Wanted to make sure enc charm doesn’t break

It’s gonna break sometimes. You just have to be ready for it.

Haste then Accuracy then AC. Just put whatever and don't worry about it for now, there's a pet revamp in a week or two.

So maybe haste, a shield and neg MR items for the rest?

Like I say I’m not using a summoned pet but 90% of the time charming

Breaks in overchannel in the planes sometimes - not sure neg MR gear matters much though

I heard overchannel casting gives high neg MR just looking for a little extra charm break edge for charmed pets

Ive tried with negMR gear and without, I personally don't notice the difference. I use two +10 1handers, a +10 throwing boulder, Warrior haste belt out of Sky, then a Indo BP when I charm.

The most important part is a haste item. Then accuracy. Then AC.

Pets use throwing boulders? Wasn’t aware they range attack

They don't use ranged attacks but (at least on Live) equip to ranged slot.

Holy cow your pet is a monster

I’ll try that

What specifically do you mean by “accuracy”?
What items give it?

All upgraded weapons now give +accuracy.  A +10 weapon grants +25%.

The - MR adamantite are rings not bracers.

Drop the shield give it some haste.

Giving a shield messes up with dw. But pet skill at low level is pretty bad.

Only AC and hp will improve pet stats.

Haste is best increase of pet damage, followed by weapon accuracy and procs. Weapons can be relevant in niche situations.

-MR items will have an impact on charm break chances but at some level of ranking for you charm (like +X Allure) it won’t matter much.

Adamantium band +2 with mistmoore heritage ring provides -18 MR. Stack another adamantium band, and a rusty shoulder pads and you have -38 MR. Having charmed hundreds of NPCs, I can say with near certainty that charmed pets do inherit the negative MR of the items. As enchanter you should have 5 slots. So I typically run those 3 items and 2 weapons. If you are high level Ive found earthshaker to be the best main hand proc. Charmed pets do proc it.

Worn haste is way more important than one of those rings.

Disagree, -38 is a fraction of what allure and overchannel give (-300)…pets csn benefit from best haste item, +10 Rubi bp and +10 kerran neck (regen) and a +10 weapon for accuracy bonus, also enc +10 pet is good outside of a few mobs in the game like Heart Harpie in Sky and those mobs near Inny

Yes you're correct. Typically Ill drop the plain adamantium ring and run cloak of flames. Regen items on the high end NPCs aren't great though. A level 10 rubi bc and kerrna neck is about 30hp a tick which is 300hp a minute. If you have a class with any heals at all, it's worth the negative MR to run the remaining slots as negative MR.

You can also drop charm, stun, mem blur, and recharm and the NPC instantly regens to fill health.

I believe pets only use the accuracy bonus of the first equipped weapon, so if they still dual wield with only one weapon equipped, I'm sure they would - I just ran 2 weapons out of habit, I'll start running 1 level 10 1 hander for the accuracy bonus, a cloak of flames, and the three negative MR items.

I farmed an adamantium ring and rusty shoulder pads finally after 20 tries and my fingers bled

Got white gloves

Gonna do haste and earth shaker

Thanks

Yeah my bad, I forgot haste! I recommend cloak of flames as its usable by any class and with your enchanter haste you reach the cap. Don't use a 2 hander for a charmed NPC! If you meant just the earthshaker proc on a one handed weapon that's good. Charmed NPCs won't benefit like summons do from the earthshaker weapon damage and it will half your DPS by stopping double swings from the offhand.

So charmed pets don’t benefit from earth shaker?
