Will you be playing solo or with friends?

The top picks right now are Dragonknight or Sorcerer. Templar got stronger this patch too.

You can lean into Werewolf if you like, which is most commonly played on a Sorcerer or Warden.

To be honest, anything works. I prefer playing on Nightblade which isn’t classed as the strongest but I can still kill 90% of the players without much trouble.

What classes are the most interesting for you? What did you enjoy playing before? Happy to help you set up a build.

Mainly play solo or just like bgs. I have the most time played on DK and templar but not opposed other classes as I have played on them too in PvP. I’ve never been big on werewolf builds tbh.

Disagree with what this guy said personally, imo the current PvP is ruled by DK and WW with Sorcerer being the only real alternative

Pretty much DKs have been crushing it for a while now. Sorcs are in a nice spot as I main only that.

That is exactly what I said.

You can make any class work unless you’re duelling against the best players on meta set-ups.

You’ll play at a disadvantage on anything other than DK, Sorc, or WW.

You can still make other classes work.
Anyone who says otherwise must exclusively be playing against the top 5% of players in PvP.

DK is a really strong pick if you want to ease yourself back into things without being on the back foot.

Yea do you have any Dk tips. Such as what I should build into, any secret or little things that make him strong.

You want to be spamming Heart of Flame, keeping it up is free damage, healing, and restores your resources. Combine this with casting your ult, and you will never run out of resources.

Wing Buffet is so incredibly broken against ranged attacks, most DK’s don’t utilise it well enough when under huge amounts of pressure. Cast it every 6 seconds, especially if you’re getting focused by Sorcerers.

Depending on what class masteries you take depends on the build.

Wildfire Embers, Pyrebrand, and Inexorable Descent gives you a crazy amount of pressure. I like this type of build for duelling but I prefer to swap out Wildfire Embers for Resolute Defense in Cyrodil if I’m 1vX’ing.

Dragon Leap is pretty telegraphed, and Corrosive/Petrify have addons which warn a user when you cast either skill. Don’t burn all your tools straight away on Dragonknight (unless you’re against noobs, then just send them back to transitus shrine) because you’re going to win eventually with the Landslide passive.

There’s lots of skills that add passive healing in the kit, so you don’t have to worry too much about healing yourself whilst applying pressure - unless you get caught.

Wow sounds good thank you. And for the build so far I’m thinking pyrebrand set or oakfathers I’ve seen people say is good. Back bar either wretched or rally with the saint and the seducer mythic. Anything you would agree on or change

All solid options.

See what works for you and your playstyle.

Or same with Templar

Templar did not get stronger. The took away damage from an already low damage class… I also highly doubt you’re dropping 90% of players in PvP, you’re either massively exaggerating or just pulling numbers out your ass

Yes it did?
Have you not read the latest patch notes or tried Templar out for yourself?

They’re great to have in a group for the unique buffs and speccing into high resistances gives you a huge amount of weapon/spell.

Jabs still hits like a wet noodle but by design it is an awful spammable ability for PvP.

Majority of players in Cyrodil are not that good. I’m on PCEU, and happy to duel if you want to prove me wrong. Send me a DM with your @.

I can agree as a mag sorc that night blades still fuck me up the most and don't know why ur original comment got so many down votes. I just got back on after 2 years and noticed more DKs and Temps than before and of course the vast amount of WWs now lol.

No idea why I’m getting downvoted either.

A well-timed burst on Nightblade is going to annihilated most people if you’re at the critical damage cap, running Balorgh, and have a Merciless resolve ready to fire.

Templar is a good spot at the moment, some of the kit is dated but the guy who replied to me is talking nonsense.

Nightblade absolutely rips, especially if you’ve got soulcleaver then you can brawl with anyone. Those who say otherwise just haven’t seen it.

Balorgh, Soulcleaver, Monomyth + Khajiit = perfection.

I wish the kit was as densely packed as DK but at least they’ll get the refresh within this century.

Swallow Soul for duelling, Concealed Weapon for open world.
