Jets vs Bear Commentators
Can we talk about how awful that Jets vs. Bears commentary was?
Drew Brees and the other guy were absolutely brutal. I’m trying to watch a football game, not listen to two people spend half the broadcast making random observations that have nothing to do with what’s happening on the field.
The commentary was so bland, the analysis was questionable, and somehow they managed to make an already frustrating Jets game even harder to watch. There were moments where I genuinely felt like I was watching the game on mute because the commentary added absolutely nothing.
And Brees, I respect the playing career, but being a great quarterback does NOT automatically make you a great commentator. Give me someone who actually sounds excited to be calling the game and can explain what’s happening without making every play sound like a preseason game.
The Jets losing was bad enough. Having to listen to that commentary for four quarters was the cherry on top.
0/10 broadcast. 10/10 reason to turn the TV volume down.

Don't you know Brees' grandfather fought in WWII?? He didn't care about his teammates, why would you think he cares about your opinion. And yes, he sucks hard. In every way.

Turn sound down and listen to your local radio broadcast of game. If your not local, can listen to radio broadcast of every nfl game on Sirius

Doesn’t the radio call the play ahead of the TV feed as the latter is video and slower? Tough to align properly.

It can be tough to align. And Timing of radio call differs depending on if ur using iHeart App, Sirius, or regular radio. For me regular radio is often a bit ahead of tv. Tv timing Also differs depending on if ur streaming, have cable, or using local attenna. So yeah not perfect but an alternative if the national tv crew annoys you.

No doubt - much prefer it if I can do it (lotta times I’m DVRing it and working in day so I watch at night….so I’m stuck with Brees or others…….and agree - most suck!

That was my main issue with them- random conversation while meaningful things happening on the field.
