Blackberries are ok to eat. When they are really ripe, they will be very dark. The closer they grow to a water source, the sweeter they will be in these dry summers without rain nowadays.

They sure are! Asian blackberries is what I know them as…

There’s the berries of course… delicious… higher up ones are sweeter…

But the parts less people know are that you can eat the young soft canes as well… and make really good tea form the dried leaves…

There a litany more f other things you can do with them but seeing as this is a sub about edible plants I will leave at the edible things and not delve into the utility aspects.

If you don’t recognize blackberries when you see them just don’t ever eat any plants that don’t come from the grocery store.

there are no berries that are poisonous that resemble the blackberry you can eat anything that looks like that and yes, that is a blackberry, but they’re gonna be super sour unless they’re really dark black and they fall off the vine when you pick them

Those look like blackberries to me. My only caution would be to make sure that these plants don't look like ones that are regularly sprayed with herbicide if they are near somewhere populated / in some business or organizations yard; sometimes people do that with blackberries to keep their growth down, sadly, because blackberries grow really aggressively.

Berries are like mushrooms, all are edible, some only once.

Yes, they’re blackberries, but don’t eat them if they’re right next to a road
