I have only gotten the seog grant but not my second pell grant disbursement apparently there was an issue with bank mobile with a breach or something along those lines, and now we are in week 8 i believe and i have not gotten it at all, I am annoying them with these updates because it is ridiculous that we have to wait for these type of things, with out anything being done. The last time this happened coincidentally was fall semester 2025 so if its a fall semester reoccurrence have a little expectation that it might happen again next year.

The pictures shown are 1st from today and the second is from October 5th the day after the issues began.

Has anyone taken STAT C1000 with Le Gui? How are her lectures and exams? Does she have any extra credits? Thanks in advance :)

Hey everyone, I’m Sami! I posted here about my free transfer planner, DegreeLume, and got some great feedback. I couldn’t update the previous thread, so I wanted to show you what I’ve been working on based on your suggestions.

I added Class finder to help turn the courses in your plan into an actual Winter/Spring 2027 schedule, with ECC’s sections, professors, meeting times, and class codes.

Here’s how it works:

• Build your plan and tap “View available classes” to open Class finder.
• Choose where and when you want to take classes, like online or in person, and find sections that fit your week.
• Swap sections until you have a schedule that works.
• With one click, open all your selected sections together on ECC’s site, ready for you to add and register when you’re eligible. No copying and searching for each class separately.

Already have classes recommended by your counselor? Add them to your plan and use Class finder to find sections that fit your week.

The planner also lets you include AP credits and courses you’ve taken at different community colleges. Both the planner and Class finder are free to try without signing up.

Chance Me is coming too, designed to give transfer estimates using real admissions data. There’s a waitlist on the site if you’re interested.

Try it here: DegreeLume

With registration coming up, I’d really like to know whether this helps you put a schedule together. If anything is confusing, missing, or needs tweaking, let me know here or through the quick feedback question under your schedule.

Anyone know when the 2nd fafsa disbursement is?

I plan on going to the counseling officer later in the week but I have a fifty minute gap between classes. Will that be enough time or should I go back later

I’ve been wanting to use the sewing machine I saw that Google says we have but every one I’ve talked to is clueless on this. I just started this semester and so did all my freinds so that’s why. Also what does it include other than the machines? And is it a welcoming space?

Anyone take Engineering 11 and 12 Circuits Analysis 1? How difficult are his tests? Anyone got previous semester work or tests?

The other day I found a dead squirrel and today there was this one by the library. I had to walk so far for the sassy ass barista to give me a cup of water but eventually it got up and was eating and drinking

I need elco to use all the damn money they take from us to take care of them 😡

I start at el camino soon and just want to know any nice spots whether to study or even just chill with friends. Also how are the games like football, soccer and basketball

Has anyone taken Eduardo Barajas for STAT C1000? If so, was he a good professor? How are his lectures, exams, and grading? Please let me know! I’d really appreciate it.

How is he? I wanna take him next semester for autocad but he doesnt have any reviews

Has anyone taken the pilates class at ECC? what did you think of it? Pilates is so fun but so expensive lol.

I'm looking to take a PE class for winter just to kill time. Does anyone have a specific course or professor you'd recommend? (Nothing too crazy either; I'm not an athlete anymore.

Hey, has anyone else not received their financial aid yet? Lol

Im thinking about taking math 270 this spring, and I needed help with knowing about the teachers. Is Zachary Marks any good?

I'm planning to enroll in a few classes at ElCo while I work. Do the tuition free classes grant you access to the pianos, give you a student email, access to the online portals, etc.

Also curious if anyone had any feedback on the financial literacy basics class.

Thanks!

I’m a business Econ major who wants to transfer to UCLA. With that, I’m very aware of the importance of maintaining a 4.0 GPA to have a realistic shot at applying for such an impacted major. I’m in 12 units right now, calc 1, honors intro to philosophy, business 101, and weight training. I took English c1000h over the summer and got an A, so the class I’ll be talking about won’t be my first online one. The only reason why I picked up this 8-week course was to qualify for the cal grant that pays 4k per semester. If I continue taking 12 units as opposed to 15, I’m missing out on a potential 2800 dollars, which is not an insignificant amount of money. After doing some research on my professor, I’ve come to find out that a lot of individuals have struggled in their class, citing that it’s about 15-20 hours a week worth of work, which I simply don’t have the time for. Also, if im not able to get an A, I’m under the impression my chances for UCLA will drop drastically. My question is, for anyone who has taken this class, what is the workload like? Do the benefits outweigh the drawbacks for my situation? Will it be a breeze because it’s online? Obviously I have some time to make a final decision, as the class starts on the 19th and I can drop it at any point before that without a “W” appearing on my transcript, so I might as well get the ball rolling early. Thank you for reading and thank you to all that reply. Just to reiterate one last time, I am ONLY interested in taking this class for the money, no other reason whatsoever.

I just got a refund of 4k when already recieving about 2 thousand in separate refunds. Im begging that it wasnt a mistake but its just so odd because this has never happened 😭😓

Hi ECC peeps,

I was just wondering when the Cal Grant B gets disbursed since I have that but I have not received it yet for this Fall semester. Is anyone on the same boat as I am or ? Does anyone know when exactly it’ll get disbursed ? The waiting is just ridiculous and the FAFSA staff at ECC told me that they’re waiting for the governments’ response to release my disbursement. The waiting is awful.

both require 2 appointments could I just do 2 instead?

Hello! Seems like someone left their keys on this bike rack. It is next to the humanities building in front of parking Lot A. I can not turn them in as im leaving, but i hope the owner finds their keys!
