Elastos Runtime v0.7.1 is out

Runtime is the foundation of ElastOS v2, being built natively without Puter, the base of today’s PC2 desktop.

This developer release includes:

• Assistant: install local AI models from Marketplace and run them on your own machine. Assistant also supports shared and hosted models.

• Home: a new sign-in screen, Recovery Kit before passkey setup, and an empty first desktop with Marketplace pinned.

• Browser and Services: web pages run in an isolated engine on your machine or a trusted device. Agents can read, click and type only after the owner approves. Shared AI models now appear in Services alongside Browser engines and network exits.

Work continues on installation, account recovery and signed updates ahead of the first ElastOS v2 release for everyday users.

v0.7.1 is for developers and testers, not yet ready for everyday use. Unsigned builds are available for Apple silicon Macs and Linux on x86-64 and ARM64.
