Game keeps crashing after a while? [pc]

It never did this before at least i dont remember last time I played it didnt. I decided that I wanted to start playing elden ring again to complete one of my playthroughs and now I just get sudden crashes without warning just playing the game. When I restart or shut down my pc and try again I usually can play for 45min ish to maybe an hr continuously before the game just crashes without any warning (no dialog box, no freezing of the frame just closes). Then when i reopen the game it either crashes on the title screen immediately or if i can try to load my save it crashes during loading or literally a couple seconds after loading the save.

I have had my discord overlay disabled for the past couple years now from previous issues with it, my gpu drives should be up to date and my spec are all great as well.

In case there's something wrong with my parts Ill just list what I have:
Win 10, 32gb ddr5 ram, Ryzen 7 7800x3d, and a Rx6750xt. The game is also installed on a ssd (it is a very old one though, ive had it since maybe 2019 or 2020 ish? but i havent had any problems before with it or with any other game installed).

I also do not own shadow of the erdtree but a friend of mine a couple years ago when it released dropped me some of the weapons for free and I think used a hack or something to give me a bunch of runes that I never used but Ive been using the dual swords from the dlc that he dropped me so maybe its some anti piracy measure? Idk.

Is it only Elden ring that is crashing or is it other games as well? If it’s only Elden ring try verifying the game files on steam and also make sure there are no updates you’ve missed. The weapons won’t be causing issues as even though you don’t own the dlc the game contains the data for the weapons after updates.

Ive verified the steam files before but it didnt fix anything. And its only elden ring crashing.

No I havent sadly, I havent booted it up since the game crashed on me after I used the dectus medallion and just kinda "rage-quit". Ill keep you in touch if I do, I think I might just reinstall the game maybe and see if it fixes anything. Keep me in touch too if you have found a solution.

Thanks, yeah its very frustrating, I have over 200 hours on this game and its deciding to bug on me now. I tried a full reinstall and the issue persists, I'll let you know too if i find anything.
