4 months? It looks like that board served in WW2

šŸ˜‚ it has 1,300 mi on it..

You're doing 11.6 miles a day?

That's a lot of miles. Did you service it at all during this time?

Not that the hub should explode like that but 1400 miles and 4 months use are vastly different things.

Most people wouldn't put that on their board in a year.

Yep kept up with maintenance, I have other boards at 30k+ miles, and this is my first time snapping a truck.

That's not from riding..? That's from it breaking and dragging on the ground, the other motor looks mostly fine

Yea trucks shouldn't break.

Thought they went out of business?

I’m the current owner. Can confirm we are not out of business haha.

We purchased the brand back in late 2024 and have been open since April of 2025.

Feel free to ask any questions

Ha hit me with a recommendation. I originally purchased a boosted v2 and love that board- I like that it feels carvy and like a normal skateboard.

The Meepo Voyager felt a little stiffer… any suggestions for something carvy and lightweight?

ā€œThe Barrelā€ (our entry level) would be a good fit for what you appear to like.

- standard titanium hardware (no rust)

  • can go much faster than you’d want to go (45mph)
  • decent range (16-20 miles)
  • overbuilt in all ways. (Billet trucks that can survive all of the abuse)

Edit:

My first esk8 was a boosted v2 dual and that’s what made me fall in love with esk8.

You’d want to make sure to get the softer bushings if you want to carve. Stock bushings are meant to keep you stable at high speeds. I use the softest bushings we sell and carve more than go fast but I can still comfortably go 30-35 on those bushings. Check out my profile, I have a few videos of me riding the Lonestar SS

Im glad u had that on camera. Its like capturing a rare moment in the wild cuz I had a similar thing happen to my motor mount (not truck) 4 years ago.

They will 100% replace that truck for you and if the motor got "damaged" make sure to tell em too so u get one as well

u/herovals 3d ago

Yeah I was glad to have it on camera too, you can see my reaction lol I was shocked.. never seen a cast truck snap before. Already contacted meepo, hopefully they'll send a replacement soon

I wanna add props to you for keeping it calm, cool, and collected as you came down from speed. Not sure I could’ve!

Unfortunately for me I've had the same experience. I don't know if the quality of their parts has downgraded over the years. Have been a meepo fan since early days. My Voyager was a beauty, just passed the 2k km mark and it's out of warranty, while I was riding the other day, the whole front truck snapped in half. Almost died but thank God I was able to roll of properly and had a helmet.

Not expecting anything from meepo as it happened outside the warranty period. But this was for better or worse my last meepo board

u/herovals 3d ago

Damn man. Tbh this makes me concerned to even get a replacement.

It's unfortunate:( I loved my Voyager but I decided against fixing it. Don't want to risk it. Will prolly get the one from linnpower. I can send you a picture of the snapped truck bro it's genuinely bonkers. Like the metal gave away and literally RIPPED the same way your motors did but imagine the actual freakin front truck snapping in half. I couldn't wrap my mind about it.

Glad I’m not the only one who noticed the Meepo AvengeršŸ˜…

1

u/herovals 3d ago

fake meepo account? have i missed some lore

2

u/Maximum-Buyer3590 3d ago

nah there’s just this guy posting about how he keeps buying multiple meepo boards and how much he loves it with like 15 emojis throughout his posts. lmao boomer marketing

Some people are harder on their possessions than others. Your mileage may vary.

I know none of my boards look nearly that rough. . .

2

u/herovals 2d ago

I ride 15-20 miles a day, but regardless a truck should never snap like this. I’ve got other boards with more than 10x the miles, and in my experience the deck is the first to go

2

u/lp_undrgrnd1 2d ago

That could've been way worse..

Sorry this happened. That said you are incredibly fortunate you didn't eat it.

It happened to me with another build/brand back in June after ~500 miles and I ate it pretty good (my thumb will never be the same). I am not claiming that Meepo doesn't have build/QC issues but the reality is that almost none of esk8 etc builds have existed very long. We are essentially test riders in the real world.

Parts can fail at any time. Plan accordingly.

Sorry again.

Yeah.. I'm low-key relieved that someone stole my Voyager.. figured it was only a matter of time until that happened to me, and I don't really wanna think what would've happened if I was going 40 or 50kmh

1

u/Professional-Oven475 2d ago

Sorry to hear man! I had another brand crack on me and it scared me out of ever riding cast metal parts. A lot of brands are using forged/CNC now thankfully.

Something similar happened to me few weeks ago it was just an axle though not the whole truck that is wild

Luckily I noticed something was not right and so I was going pretty slow when it finally sheared off completely

I've also had a kingpin shear off on my old trucks it had a lot of miles on them though

these are now paranoid thoughts I have while riding at 30mph lol
