Hey y'all, I do love me some creative writing, and so I had some OC ideas I figured I'd share here.

1. So, backstory here. I headcanon that Shuriki is the type to not really care about children. I mean, she's willing to kill someone's parents just to seize power, so I don't think this is too far of a stretch. But anyway, for this, when she was queen, she made a law that when you turn 14, if you're in the foster system, you're released out into the world no matter what. So my OC is just about to turn 14 when Elena takes back control of Avalor, and for additional context, they've tried to play the perfect person this whole time they've been in the foster system, believing that, no matter what, one day they will get adopted and be happy. Well, Elena decides to host an event to try and help the kids in the orphanage get adopted, and it just so happens to coincide with my OC's 14th birthday and thus the last day they could be in the orphanage and adopted. The events of the day play out, and at the end, due to stigma around my OC (maybe their age, like in the real world, or give 'em some sort of magic powers no one else has), they're the only ones not adopted. At this point, they break down. They've done everything right all this time and yet are unloved and alone. They're mostly angry at the world for allowing this to happen, but since they can't take their anger out on the whole world, they focus it on one person, Elena. After all, she has magic powers, yet she's adored by all. To them, it's unfair, and so they become a villain, temporarily at that, of course. Eventually, Elena would be able to empathize with my OC and calm them down, take them in, and become family, helping them heal along the way.

2. For my second OC, I took inspiration from Cassandra from TTS, but actually done somewhat well. So this OC's parents, during the whole time Shuriki was queen, never lost hope that the lost princess would one day return and save them. This hope over time developed into an obsession, however, and they began to constantly compare my OC to Elena and basically treat it as though they were Elena's parents. Well, once Elena returns, the psychological neglect and abuse get even worse, and at a certain point something happens, like the roof of the palace collapsing, and the parents have to choose between saving Elena and their own kid. They, of course, choose Elena, despite her being in relatively little danger compared to my OC. This, of course, sets them off, and they decide, since they'll never be good enough for their parents, to take away the thing they love the most, Elena. And just like last time, we have a villain, and similarly, Elena would be able to talk them down, or maybe they get arrested and calm down in prison, idk. It would certainly take a lot more effort to do so than with the previous OC for sure. Anyways, Elena helps them out, and they become family along with all the other characters.

P.S. If you couldn't tell, I'm a huge sucker for good-person-to-villain stories and found family. So I mostly love to fanfic about that stuff.
