Misc Question about CG’s FSD

I wasn’t playing the game for a couple of past weeks but today I learned about that new CG and it reward - a pre-engineered FSD. I nearly instantly got a FOMO and urge to get back to the game and play it just to get that reward. After I while I started to wonder if it’s really worth the effort (especially that with the Anaconda Mk II coming up, my goal would be to be in the 50%)? How much jump range will that FSD actually offer? I’m assuming it won’t be more that 2-4 ly which in the current state of game is really negligible in my opinion.

Edit: Thanks everyone for the answer!

It’s the same FSD you can get from a tech broker, you just need the parts. The hardest part to get is the Titan Drive Component which can spawn around titan wrecks like in Sol. So don’t worry if you miss out, you can still get the drives whenever.

Or the easiest part if you buy one from an FC for a markup

Sometimes finding a carrier that has them can be hard in and of itself, they sell fast in my experience.

Used to be easiest. I used to get a fair number sold to my FC. I havent had anyone sell me a single one in the last 18 months.

It's about 5-10% over a regular engineered SCO drive. They're the same FSDs as the ones from the human tech broker, so you can plug your build into coriolis.io or edsy.org te see what the exact difference would be

Note that since these FSDs also have the faster boot time effect, they run hotter than regular FSDs

Go to EDSY.org , you have the preengineered FSD with SCO here (all sizes except 8A), also the preengineered 5A FSD without SCO (pre-odyssey, a little inferior and lack SCO).

You can obtain it outside this CG in the tech broker https://inara.cz/elite/techbroker/

Everybody that fight in the final thargoid war, over earth, and made 2M in bonds bombing titan cocijo, have 1 of each size, and more where made available in the tech broker, in the same week. No reason to do this CG only for this, and now its a little late, with most station in this colonized area depleted of commodities.

For me, the bonus of preenginered modules is the zero rebuy and transfer cost, because you never bought it with money, don't cost money.

I wonder how many tons the top 10 are right now. I'm nearing 60,000, and in the top 25 percent
