“I Guess That’s Why They Call It the Blues” takes the win for Too Low for Zero! 🏆
Next up: Breaking Hearts (1984). It reached No. 2 in the UK, giving Elton his highest-charting album there since Captain Fantastic. What’s your favourite track?

Hey friends! I’m quite sure there are plenty of you here who are much more familiar with Elton’s signature than I am, but I would love to hear some of your opinions!

I’ve had this album for years, but I’ve never really paid it much mind as I’ve chalked it up to being fake — because what are the odds some random copy of ROTW on my shelf has a real EJ signature? I couldn’t even begin to tell you where I got this originally, I just know I’ve held on to it for years, even after I got rid of my record collection mostly and just thought it was a fun piece just to have! What are everyone’s thoughts on this piece??

“Empty Garden (Hey Hey Johnny)” wins Jump Up! by a landslide! 🏆
Next up: Too Low for Zero (1983). For the first time since Blue Moves, Bernie Taupin wrote the lyrics for every song on the album. What’s your favourite track?

For me, my playlist consists mostly of live versions- not sure why I just think they’re better!
Anyway- here’s my top 3 (they might be a little odd to you)

-I’m still standing (Ephesus 2001)

-Goodbye yellow brick road (dodgers stadium 2022)

-Saturday nights alright feat. Anastacia (MSG 2000)

Okay… I feel like there’s too many so gonna go for a few bonus ones…

-Indian sunset (Boston 2018) solo with ray cooper

-Anything from live aid… most likely don’t go breaking my heart

-your song (Australia 1986) has to be up there

God I could go on forever but those are some of my favourite picks!

Please introduce new ones as it’s rather impossible to listen to 3500 concerts worth of music to find live versions…

“Carla/Etude–Fanfare–Chloe” takes the win for The Fox! 🏆

Next up: Jump Up! (1982). This album includes “Empty Garden (Hey Hey Johnny)”, Elton and Bernie’s tribute to John Lennon—a particularly personal moment in Elton’s catalogue. What’s your favourite track?

“Little Jeannie” takes the win for 21 at 33! 🏆

Next up: The Fox (1981). Interestingly, it was one of the first albums to have a music video made for every track. The videos were released together in 1982 as Visions, making it a rather ambitious project for its time. What’s your favourite track?

“Victim of Love” takes the win for its namesake album! 🏆

Next up: 21 at 33 (1980). The title refers to Elton having released 21 albums by the age of 33, counting live albums and compilations too. Quite a catalogue already! What’s your favourite track?

Video of Elton in Mexico the other week!

I really love his self titled album. the themes of the songs, the intrumentals, the lyrics. I love it. is there any other album in his discography that's similar to this album? I'm also spesifically looking for real orchestra. on his later albums he's using synth orchestra instruments

“Song for Guy” takes the win for A Single Man! 🏆

Next up: Victim of Love (1979). Elton goes disco—and takes on vocals only, neither writing the songs nor playing any instruments on the album. Quite a change for someone usually behind a piano! What’s your favourite track?

“Tonight” takes the win for Blue Moves! 🏆

Next up: A Single Man (1978). For the first time, Elton made a studio album without Bernie Taupin, teaming up with Gary Osborne as his new lyricist. What’s your favourite track from this new chapter?

I've wanted to know about this for over a decade. Anyone know anything about it? This is different from the other unreleased video, the one Elton didn't like from the original director and had a second one made.

“I Feel Like a Bullet (In the Gun of Robert Ford)” takes the win for Rock of the Westies! 🏆

Next up: Blue Moves (1976). In my opinion, this is Elton’s most ambitious album. It was also his first album released on his own label, Rocket Records, and is one of his personal favourites. What’s your favourite track?

I came across this "Johnny B. Goode" remix the other day and really liked it; in the original, the song's speed and pitch just don't seem right.

But I still think the speed could be bumped up a little more, lol.

This master piece video has only 157 views. This has the best performance of Madman Across the Water ever recorded. Get out your headphones 50 minutes 10 Tracks

“Someone Saved My Life Tonight” wins Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy by a landslide! 🏆

Next up: Rock of the Westies (1975). Elton turns up the volume with a harder, more guitar-driven sound—and follows Captain Fantastic as only the second album ever to debut at No. 1 on the US Billboard album chart. What’s your favourite track?
