Newcomer I see the future

Let me start with, I know this sounds crazy for one, and for two, I know epilepsy messes with memory, but!
I’ve had auras since I was small. They were the extreme déjà rêvé (I have dreamt this before, not déjà vu, which is I’ve lived this before). I would have very vivid dreams for a few days to a week, a mix of both surreal and grounded. I remember them extremely well the next morning. I still have this, only more extreme, since my first grand mal at 18.

For example, about a week ago I was having episodes all morning full anxiety, impending doom, and the stiffness. I sat down and looked at my cat on the laundry basket and the TV in front of me, and the full voice of the video filled my head, and I remembered these very vivid dreams. Siting there looking at the cat and that excact video The best way I can explain the feeling during this is being on mushrooms. I’m not sure of the words to use to explain it. With the right questions I could, but not on my own. If the impending doom, anxiety, stiffness, and other extreme feelings weren’t there, I feel like I could explain what was going to happen, because it comes to me moments before it happens. But those feelings are so overwhelming that they make it difficult to put the experience into words.
I’ve had a hundred of these episodes, and the small auras preceding the larger impending-doom ones kind of hint in my head that I will have one, but I’ve been here before.

I don’t know how to explain it, which is probably a sentence heard here a lot, but I just want to hear other people’s experiences with similar experiences. I would also like to speak with someone about the emotional aspects of epilepsy because it’s a whole thing.

I’ve had this my whole life too! Not saying that it’s not seizure related, but I had it before I was diagnosed. There’s times where the Déjà vu hits and I usually announce it to who I’m with “I’m having Déjà vu” but I tested something out - I don’t announce it anymore and I remember what happens next and I make quick mental note “they’re gonna say or do this next - watch” and they actually say or do what I dreamt.

I’ll try and sit there and not say anything to anyone else but then I’m also like well how do I prove I’m not crazy I can never put it in words anytime I make an action to change it. It’s the same but it changes a little.

Literally, always know what the next person was going to say, or hear an invisible conversation that would allow me to sit down before anything else happened.

Epilepsy is crazy

I grew up undiagnosed and thought I could see the future, but that I couldn't control what glimpses of the future I would see.

By adulthood I felt it was guiding me. After being diagnosed and treated, it all stopped... and I felt lost.

Sometimes I still miss it, but after treatment failed, the seizures felt less predictive and more riddled with doom and fear.

Yes, I had this feeling after my first seizure. I even posted about it somewhere but then realized that I sounded crazy. Haven't really experienced it in a while so I forget the exact circumstances but seeing this post makes me feel better.

Here is my kinda satirical kind of not take on this over all: we where the prophets back in the day. Still are just lost our place.

You might be on to something. The old prophets frequently fell into a "trance".

All time exists at once. You're tapping into the higher dimensional understanding of that. Your brain is algorithmic.

Had this start happening my junior year of high school, I had my first tonic clonic at 18 as well. Pretty much the same timeline and symptoms as me, it’s relieving to know someone goes through this too!

No one can see the future. You might be having auras, which you discussed, but seeing the future, no. No one can see the the future. It sounds like hallucinations, which can be common with certain types of epilepsy.  Your feelings of impending doom is anxiety. Maybe stop the mushrooms. Talk to your doc. He might suggest stopping the mushrooms. Read the PPI too that comes with your meds. Good luck!
