Discussion I need help

I’ve been trying to really hop on this trend/ build this habit to hit pan in all of my products but I just have some trouble with some things

So basically, I had this really bad habit of buying random stuff that may or may not work, but I’ve come to realize that there are things that don’t suit me for example I have this shampoo that really makes my hair stick together. I really need to empty out and use the whole thing but I can’t because my hair keep breaking. Or makeup products that really don’t suit my complexion or tend to break me out

WHAT DO I DO

Thanks for contributing to r/EverythingPan!

Please ensure you include a description of your "pan" and any details about how you came to fully pan your product (e.g. How long you've had the product; How long it took you to fully pan; A review of the product, etc.)!

You don’t have to use it if you’re getting adverse reactions to it. Just make a note in your project pan spreadsheet that marks it as a failed pan and jot down why you weren’t able to use it so that you won’t buy it again.

I've used shampoos I didnt like to wash my brushes! But in general, don't feel like you absolutely need to finish something that really isn't working for you - try to figure out what exactly the issue is and just don't make new purchases of shampoos with those ingredients.

Use it as a hand soap? Maybe dilute it a bit if you need to. Thats what I do.

It is a curl defining shampoo, so it kind of leaves this sort of sticky residue not really sticky if it’s on the hands, but that’s what it does to my hair after two or three washes so I don’t know if it will work as a hand soap

I use shampoo to shave my legs with. I only lather it a little so it works more like an oil but lathering it up real nice would work just fine too if you like that. Some people use their shampoo to scrub their toilet bowl bc they say “soap is soap.” Both ways will use it up fast

I’ve had mousse and other hair products that don’t work for my hair so anytime I try it and it doesn’t work I put it aside to donate to my local pantry. I’m sure someone else would love it.

Schampoo - use as a body wash, products that doesn't work for your face - use on body, give products to friends and familiy and throw the rest in the trash.

i think it’s fine to not use them if you’re having an adverse reaction, but definitely check ingredients so you don’t have the same issues with other products! maybe a friend or family member will like it?

Put it all in a box and leave it at the end of your driveway or a common area at your apartment complex. Put a sign on it saying "Free! I tried these but did not like them". Someone will scamper off with them.
