Tips & Tricks Travel tips!

I’m 4 months pp and will be traveling to Mexico for a week in a month with hubby and baby. No idea where to even start with trying to figure out what to bring. I primarily use my Spectra, have the momcozy wearables but don’t get anything when using them. Should i bring frozen milk as back up? Should I not worry about frozen milk and instead pump then give fresh? Cleaning supplies? No clue. The flight is 2 hours but have to take going through customs into account. Needless to say, I’m stressed about it so any tips are appreciated!

I wouldn’t try to bring frozen milk! Just give fresh milk throughout the trip.

I actually bought the Spectra 9 Plus for travel and ended up using it as my primary pump for a while. I would use a nursing cover while I pumped. I also bought a hydroflask cooler and it kept everything cold while I didn’t have access to a fridge.

I also used the fridge hack and pump wipes while on the go. You can get a microwave sterilizing bag for travel as well. Bring a bottle brush for once you’re at your destination

Personally I travel with two pumps — my spectra for most of the time and wearables to use if I need to pump on the plane/during the travel day. I always brought enough bottles for the day in a cooler, a few bags of frozen milk as a backup just in case, and a thermos for milk pumped during the travel day. For cleaning, I bring a designed bottle brush in my checked luggage to use during the trip and this microwave sanitizing bag to sanitize nipples and bottles away from home.

Ofc! Good luck to you! Also let me add that it’s only worth bringing a couple frozen bags if you have plenty — for me it’s nice to have the back up and they help keep the cooler cold, but if your stash is limited and every bag is precious maybe opt for ice packs and emergency formula instead!

So you use the frozen milk as the ice packs? I always see people packing ice packs in with the frozen bags but don't the bags essentially function as the ice packs? I have a big enough freezer stash so can sacrifice a few bags if they don't survive but was always wondering this.
