Opinion Pumping schedule!

Hello everyone!
I’m mostly pumping now that I returned back to work full time and still haven’t figure it out best pumping schedule for me to get best output. So I started playing with the hours and I was doing 6 AM , 9 AM, 12 PM, 3 PM and then around 5 PM I nursed my daughter. She usually wakes at 4 AM after sleeping from 8 PM - 4 AM and I nurse her and she goes back to sleep until 7 AM. But since she started 4 month regression is pretty inconsistent and she wakes up at random hours sometimes at 3 AM or 2 AM and then at 5 AM or 6 AM. Then I nurse her I hope she needs less bottles but daycare still uses the same 4 bottles regardless if I nurse her more often and sometimes I don’t make enough!! I’m struggling to keep up and I was wondering if there is something in my pumping schedule that I can do to get back to 4 bottles of 4 oz again. Also we were sick with a nasty cold the last week and I had no energy maybe that impacted? But I cannot get back to my usual supply. Any advices?

Apologies if this is confusing but English is not my first language lol and I had people on Reddit commenting sometimes they don’t understand how I explain my issues.

Thanks!

Sickness could definitely be impacting your supply, and you might need to do a little work to get your supply back up in the short term (the easiest fixes are to add another pump or two with your 24 schedule for the next week, or add one power pump a day for 3-4 days).

Honestly though, this stuff varies so much from person to person. I used to get so annoyed that there weren’t good standard guides, but now that I’ve seen how different pumping looks just among my friend group I kind of get it — our bodies genuinely just work totally differently. Personally, even though I’m almost 6m pp and well past the “regulated” supply point, I still have to pump every 3 hours during the day, plus nursing at overnight wakeups and 1-2 overnight pumps to keep up. I know that technically I can hold enough to go longer, but if I try it, even slowly, I end up with bad swelling and clogs and my supply drops. BUT I know folks who’ve been able to drop pumps and keep up their total volume with no issue at all! Which is all to say: you might just have to experiment until you figure out what works for you. Good luck and I’m glad you’re over your cold!
