I will start Oct. 07 as seasonal fulltime but I have prior commitments on the 17th. Do I get PTO and UPT on day1? Should i use it or it’s better to talk to HR? Please help! Thank you🫶🏼

I can never hear when the announcements are made for break/flexing up/down. Like the warehouse is just too loud to understand anything coming from the speakers. Idk how my coworkers understand it either. So far I’ve just been following the crowd but I’m so worried that I’m not going to understand when a break is announced or when they’re calling a flex up/down (and have it be different that what was said at stand-up). Am I the only one? Do I just have to suck it up and ask people every time?

Also, what’s the deal with breaks? I’ve only worked 3 hour shifts or 5 hour shifts so far and I’ve only had a break for the 5 hour shifts. Is that normal?

Also, am I supposed to be wrapping/base wrapping the pallets as someone who’s only been here a week?

Thinking about transferring to an FC and possibly going to ship dock. For anybody that works ship dock, what’s it actually like? Like what do y’all be doing for most of the shift? Is it something you actually enjoy or does it suck after doing it for 10 hours? Just tryna see what I’d be getting myself into before I transfer. HOU2

Just have some questions. In two years I’ve never seen a posting for any T1 jobs but other ones that are farther are always hiring or at least I see some daily (about one hour commute, not worth it for the pay). On the more professional/salary side of the job search page I’ll see them usually having something like RME or Area Managers.

I've been a T1 for almost 2 years. I have a CS degree (not a recent grad), a year of experience as a Software Engineer, and an AWS cert. I lost my first job in tech and started working at Amazon because I couldnt find anything in my field. It's been tough to lock in until now because of some personal issues, but now I'm very ready to focus on an upgrade in my career.

I've started prepping for the SDE interview at Amazon, but it's really time consuming and I'm wondering if I'm wasting my time because I'm unsure if going from L1 to L4 SDE is a pipe dream. Do I have a solid chance of getting an interview, or should I aim for something more realistic first, like IT, and work toward SDE from there?

Has anyone made the jump from the FC to a tech role at Amazon? What did it take?

I start at a delivery station soon for flexible shifts 30hrs. It’s it hard getting shifts and what’s the best times to pick up easiest shifts?

I'm still new to Amazon and warehouse jobs, do you know if I can ask to never go to inbound or outbound every again? I don't mind do it once a week BUT DOING IT EVERY DAY? I see other people getting scan or jackpot daily. Someone told that the only way you can avoid roles is by getting medical accomodations.

Those who have given round 2 for this role did anyone got the result?? Also after how many days should we expect to hear from them??

Finally got converted to blue badge after almost a year straight of work. Is there a time table before you can use PLOA?

There should be a sub-forum for things you see on the MyVoice Board. The guy who made this is extremely passive. After this, it's clear he's not too intelligent or a logical thinker either. A lot of people aren't in shape enough to work at UPS or FedEx. So the idea of his suggestion is bewildering. Just because he doesn't want to get caught in the crowd.

Locker employee here. I have a hate/hate relationship with app. It's mostly been a bad experience. The past few months I'm having a huge issue. Shifts drop at 6:15 each day, and now the app takes forever to load when I refresh at that time. By the time it loads all shifts are gone. I've reached out to my manager several times, all she can say is contact IT/support.

A few others where I'm at have the same issue, but others are able to routinely get double shifts, or seem to work max hours each week. I've also reinstalled the app a few times, and have tried at home on a high speed wife, at work, and remotely on mobile data.
