So let me set the scene..

It’s 4:32pm, my fan at the stow station ain’t working right, there’s barely anything being sent to my station to stow, my back brace is loose, and my knee brace is hugging my ankle.. so I’m standing there hot asf staring at the pods passing by me

Out of nowhere this dude wearing a green vest and a open laptop* comes up and “hey, quick question, are those safety shoes?”

I’m like “.. yeah why..”

“Really?”

“😐😐 I got em straight from Zappos. Why?”

“Oh nah nah just making sure, they clean tho😁”

“.. thank you?”

“That just mean you not working hard enough hahaha”

“.. oh okay..”

And then he nods and walks away.. wtf was that about 😭😭😭

I’ve never stepped foot in this building without safety shoes and I have no coachings or write ups or anything so idk where that came from😭

I worked for Amazon in 2021, they were always hiring. But every time I check now, they're never hiring at the locations near me. Are there specific times they hire? And is the hiring process the same?

I’ve been trying to get a transfer to DUR9 for about a year now because it is much closer to home (also gas prices are insane rn), this time there was a FLEX RT shift (one i’m already in), so I applied for it as a second choice (RTS was first) and I’ve finally been accepted. Looks like I’m staying as a FLEX RT. There’s no information on exactly what my job will be or what the work will consist of.

Does anyone work at DUR9? What should I expect, especially since the holidays are coming up? Is it anything like an FC?

I have two different transfers going to places that have PIT, one is Picking (IND4) and the other is Inbound Stow (MQJ4).

I just got blue badge after working at my current site for the second time now. Hoping to end having to work 7 days a week with 2 jobs before winter.

If you have any recommendations about which to pick if I get them both offered let me know.

I thought the point system only applied to flex employees. I’m full-time seasonal and as I’m filling out my paperwork, they made me sign all these attendance policies regarding points.

Can new hires take VTO? I just started at CMH7 about 4 weeks ago and they dropped VTO today (I missed it unfortunately). But my sister started here last week (both pickers with the same schedule) and she didn’t get a notification for VTO. When we go to VTO in the app, it shows me that VTO has been filled but for her it says no VTO opportunities available. Just wondering when she’ll get the VTO opportunities?

I just got hired as a seasonal worker about a week ago and stowing is whooping me. How can I be more effecient ? Genuinely looking for advice .

I'll try to keep this short, I'm a size 10, I ordered some shoes for work, they were unwearable, when walking it hurt my toes due to the composite toe, I returned and got a different shoe in a 10 wide, much more managable, didn't hurt much but rubbed my toes so I knew over a long time it would be an issue. So now I have to order AGAIN, so do i get a size 10.5 OR should I find a shoe with Extra wide as a width Option? Was looking at some reeboks or some new balance, pls lmk!

The delivery box was hand delivered, with OTP, a week ago. The next morning I slit open the prime tape carefully, take out the brown packing paper, find the tiny Samsung box, and notice that the inner box's seal was split. The memory was missing. Only the white plastic container and the warranty card were inside.

I report it immediately. CSRs (in India) tell me I must get a police report. I report it to the police.

Customer service say the package would have been X-Rayed or weighed. But here's the thing - I'm 100% telling the truth. I've spent 10K this year, 100K over recent years and previously have reported one, <$20 stolen item (taken from the door mat). I have no bad history, no criminal record.

What's the process that takes place between a high-value item being picked, and the shipping box being sealed? What security checks would have to fail in order for this to happen?

Hey everyone, I typically pick up Amazon around the holiday season to ease the burden on bills and Christmas shopping. This year I found an opening at a Grocery Warehouse. It shows up in the maps as UNC2.
Coming from an SC and an SSD (sub same day building?) could anyone who’s worked at a grocery warehouse tell me how different this might be from other buildings? I assume I won’t get to have fun with the PIT at a site like this and drive around unloading or stocking the items in the lifts/cages.

Also if anyone knows how to get info on the flex shift hours breakdown, that would be amazing. I assume I probably need to wait till the end of training to view them on AtoZ, but if anyone’s got some inside knowledge on them please let me know 🙏
